The Top 6 Hotels Underwater

Do you know any other hotels underwater to add?

By Fruits And Plants Diary - Get Insight Published about a year ago 4 min read

The best place to stay for nature lovers is a hotel under the sea because everyone enjoys a nice room with a view. When you stay at these incredible underwater hotels, you don't need diving skills to enjoy the wonder below the surface.

The Conrad Muraka in the Maldives and magnificent views of the Great Barrier Reef are just a couple of the opulent and intriguing undersea hotels that can be found all over the world. Without leaving the luxury of your hotel room, you will be surrounded by the scaled and finned animals you adore.

With our list of the top underwater hotels, you can book the ideal getaway at establishments that overlook the marine life of the Indian Ocean or artificial aquariums.

1. Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai

The underwater suites at the Atlantis The Palm in Dubai, with names like Neptune and Poseidon, tempt you to explore opulent lodgings surrounded by the marine life of the Persian Gulf. The opulent Atlantis is hailed as one of Dubai's most beautiful hotels, in part for its architectural and aquatic paradise, and is situated on a man-made island shaped like a palm tree.

The resort's aquarium, which is home to 65,000 animals including rays and sharks, can be seen from the Atlantis underwater room as it overlooks the artificially created ancient remains of the lost city of Atlantis.

To get up close and personal with the animals, visitors can go scuba diving inside the aquarium.

2. InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, China

Have you ever submerged yourself in a pool while swimming? You may have done so in some incredible places. Yes, two submerged floors have been added to the five-star InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, allowing guests to comfortably stay overnight and swim.

The beautiful new hotel is located 20 miles from Shanghai's downtown and is carved into the slope of an abandoned quarry in Songjiang. The British company Atkins, which also created the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, was responsible for the design of the Shanghai Wonderland.

The two-story underwater suites at the flagship InterContinental hotel feature a living area that is enclosed inside a saltwater tank while the bedroom faces the water's surface. You have access to a theater box in your room where you may view the hotel's captivating light and water display each night. Kayaking, bungee jumping over the quarry, and rock climbing are additional activities available at the hotel.

3. Jules' Undersea Lodge, Florida, United States

The only undersea hotel that requires scuba diving to get your accommodation is Jules' Undersea Lodge. And people like Tim Allen, Steve Tyler, and Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, were drawn to this.

In order to help you improve your abilities, the Lodge also provides SCUBA training in its lagoon. The Jules' Lodge at Key Largo Undersea Park is 21 feet below the surface and surrounded by dazzlingly colorful fish. You can either enjoy food you've brought in (pizza seems to be a favorite) or hire a "mer-chef" who can scuba down to your room to prepare a meal of your choosing once you've descended to reach your chamber.

Alternatively, you can choose to go diving with a master scuba diver to the Undersea Garden to discover how vegetables and herbs are produced in underwater spheres.

4. The Muraka, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives

A Hilton underwater hotel called The Muraka is a piece of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. This two-level villa, which is 16 feet below sea level, made its debut in November 2018. It has a master bedroom and a bathroom, both of which have floor-to-ceiling glass walls so that you can see marine life in the Indian Ocean. In the native dialect of Dhivehi, the word muraka means coral.

Two bedrooms and a bathroom, an outside balcony with an infinity pool, round-the-clock butler service, and use of a private chef are available to visitors at sea level. Additionally, you can get a personal trainer and spa services for your suite.

The resort will build up a teepee in the undersea suite for kids who are traveling with you, replete with a pillow fort and treats you choose. The resort also has a junior diving course and a kids' club.

Ten years ago, the first underwater restaurant at The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island opened. The Ithaa (mother of pearl) restaurant, which is also 16 feet below sea level and has set menus with a six-course meal, is thought to be the first of its kind. It is surrounded by coral gardens.

5. The Manta Resort, Pemba Island, Tanzania

Pemba Island, a member of the Zanzibar archipelago off the coast of Tanzania, is home to some of the best beaches and crystal-clear waters. In 2013, The Manta Resort launched its deluxe Underwater Room, a three-level floating suite with a sunken bedroom in the Indian Ocean and crystal-clear views of the reef.

The beach and this all-inclusive villa, which is ideal for a honeymoon, are only separated by a short wooden boat ride. The sundeck is made of local hardwood, and it features a living room, bathroom, and is sufficiently close to the beach while still offering the utmost isolation.

The edges of this underwater hotel light up at night to shine light on the reef sharks and sea turtles swimming next to you as you unwind.

6. Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel, Florida, United States

The Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel is still a work in progress, with coral restoration at its core. One of the few hotels that can be found underwater that is fairly priced is this one.

Once it opens, visitors can use a glass elevator to descend 24 to 30 feet to the guest capsules below, where they can enjoy a lounge/dining space, private bathroom, and a bedroom with views of the surrounding marine environment.

Additionally, the rooms are furnished with a refrigerator, internet access, and an entertainment system. Adventuresome visitors can scuba dive inside their subterranean rooms.
