The Stranger Who Kissed Me in the Rain
I Thought It Was Romance… I Was Wrong

The night was wrapped in silver rain,
The streets were quiet, soft with pain.
The city lights began to fade,
Like memories time could never save.
I stood alone beneath the sky,
With tired dreams and heavy eyes.
The wind moved slowly through the dark,
Like whispered secrets through my heart.
And then I saw you standing there,
With moonlight dancing in your hair.
No words were spoken, none were needed,
Yet somehow every silence pleaded.
You smiled softly, calm and warm,
A shelter in the middle of the storm.
And in that second, strange yet true,
The lonely world disappeared with you.
Raindrops trembled on your skin,
Like tiny stars glowing within.
The universe stood still somehow,
As fate itself looked down on us.
Your eyes held stories never told,
Of broken hearts and growing old.
Of dreams once lost, then found again,
Like flowers blooming after pain.
I still remember how you came near,
Slow enough to calm my fear.
The storm around us lost its sound,
As my heartbeat became the only noise around.
Then came the moment—soft and deep,
A memory my soul would always keep.
One gentle kiss beneath the rain,
One touch that healed a thousand pains.
Time stopped breathing for a while,
The world surrendered to your smile.
And every scar I tried to hide
Faded slowly by your side.
Your kiss was not just lips on skin,
It felt like light breaking in.
Like sunrise after endless night,
Like finding hope after losing sight.
The rain became our quiet song,
A place where wounded hearts belonged.
And for that fragile moment there,
Life itself felt bright and fair.
But happiness is strange sometimes,
It disappears without a sign.
Like autumn leaves that drift away,
Or sunsets that refuse to stay.
You stepped back slowly from my arms,
Still carrying your silent charm.
And though your smile remained the same,
I sensed the sadness in your gaze.
You whispered softly, almost low,
“There are things you’ll never know.”
Then turned away into the night,
And vanished with the fading light.
I stood frozen in the pouring rain,
Holding love and holding pain.
Trying to understand somehow
Why forever ended now.
Days became weeks, weeks became years,
Filled with echoes, dreams, and tears.
But still your memory remained,
Like perfume dancing through the rain.
Sometimes at night I walk alone,
Through empty streets and broken roads.
Searching shadows, chasing skies,
Still haunted by your soft goodbye.
People say time heals the soul,
But some memories never grow old.
Some kisses live forever deep,
Inside the hearts they choose to keep.
And though the world keeps moving fast,
Some beautiful moments always last.
Not because they stayed for long,
But because they felt too strong.
If I could live one night again,
I’d choose that storm, I’d choose that rain.
I’d choose the silence in your eyes,
And the way you made the darkness shine.
Because one kiss can change a heart,
Can tear a lonely world apart.
Can become the light we chase,
Long after someone leaves our embrace.
So if you ever stand in rain,
Thinking love has brought you pain,
Remember this—
Some people arrive like passing skies,
Yet leave forever in our lives.
And somewhere beneath the endless blue,
A part of me still belongs to you
