Just lying to other people is wrong; however, the biggest deception is the one you tell yourself. Your self-deception serves a cunning purpose.

Either you are trying to avoid taking accountability or defending your inaction. You cause yourself a lot of harm when you lie to yourself.

Take Charge Of Your Life By Avoiding These Lies:

1. There Will Be Time To Do It In The Future. What do you think about doing it?

We frequently like the thought of accomplishing something but lack the drive or interest to put in the time, effort, or sacrifice necessary to make it happen.

You might think playing the guitar is enjoyable, but putting in countless hours of practice just to play mediocrely isn’t attractive.

If you want to do anything, you’ll figure it out. If you don’t, you’ll devise a gazillion excuses to postpone and delay doing it.

Acknowledge that you have a say in how you spend your time.

2. I Have The Power To Alter Someone. Consider how challenging it is to transform oneself.

Even when you’re incredibly motivated, change is challenging. The likelihood is that the individual you wish to influence is not overly excited. You are fighting a lost war.

It would be wiser to find another person to take on the role if it is essential that the other person change.

3. There Must Be Something Wrong With Me. I’m not like anyone else as everyone thinks they are unique from other people.

Although you are unique, the typical individual cannot help but notice your similarities. You don’t have a weakness or fault.

This kind of thinking can be used as a justification for continuing to act like the little guy.

4. Just Ignore. It Will Either Go Away or Get Better. Ignoring a situation usually makes it worse.

You’ll need to handle life’s issues alone unless you have a magical fairy taking care of everything. If you don’t, your problems will just become worse.

5. I’m Too Old Or Too Young. Indeed, you won’t attend medical school at 106 years old or become a CEO at age three.

But age is considerably less of a barrier than you may think. Amazing things have been accomplished by both young and old. And you can.

6. I am Without Other Options. More options are available to you than you might imagine.

Your repetitive behaviors and beliefs are constricting. Allow all the possibilities to enter your imagination.

Other options are always available. Investigate your other options and brainstorm with a creative friend.

7. I do Not Wish To Embarrass Myself. You’re probably far too constrained, like the majority of us.

You are no longer an adolescent. It’s time to get over your worry about what other people may think.

Boldly living an exciting life. You’ll get some unfavorable feedback if you’re brave. But if you’re cautious, people will still criticize you. No matter what you do, you’ll face criticism and act in your best interests.

Keep in mind that, in 99% of cases, nobody gives a damn. Everyone is too preoccupied with their problems.

8. It is Too Late for Me. I’m too old is similar to this.

It might have been easier to start a business before you married and had kids, but it’s still possible. The notion that it is already too late is merely another justification for sticking put and enjoying your pain.

Don’t Take Accountability

By lying, you move the burden of accountability from yourself to others. You tell lies to yourself to shield yourself from potential failure.

However, lying to yourself will only keep you there.

Get honest with yourself and start tackling life head-on. You’ll be happy that you did!
