Movement Is a Blessing: The Secret to Health and Longevity
Blessing in Movement – A Lesson from Hakim Muhammad Saeed BY: Ubaid I do not know who first coined the proverb “Movement is a blessing”, but I first heard it as a child from my mother. She repeated it until her last breath at the age of seventy-two, and it became a guiding light in my own life. I have lived by it, practiced it, and admired the truth hidden within those few words. For anyone determined to fulfill the purpose of their birth, to live a meaningful life, and to contribute positively to society, I can hardly imagine a better principle to follow. Stop for a moment and reflect: can you accomplish anything without movement? The human body is a miraculous biological machine. From the very first day of life until the last, it is constantly undergoing transformation and reconstruction. Our body is made of countless cells—tiny units of life. These cells die, dissolve, and are replaced by new ones. This natural cycle of death and renewal is what keeps us alive and healthy. But here is the key: this cycle can only continue properly when the body remains active. Movement is what allows old, worn-out cells to be removed and replaced by fresh ones, keeping the body renewed and full of vitality. If a person chooses to be idle and indulge in laziness, the body’s natural processes slow down. The spark of freshness disappears, health declines, and aging creeps in far earlier than it should. Think of a motor car. It is made up of various parts, much like the human body. Its food is petrol or diesel. If you give it fuel, the engine runs smoothly. Without fuel, the car stops. And if you leave the car standing still without movement, its parts begin to rust. Wires corrode, bolts loosen, and the once-energetic machine becomes nothing more than a heap of useless metal. Now imagine filling this broken, unused car with petrol. Will it work? Of course not. In the same way, when a human being becomes a bundle of laziness—sitting idly, eating continuously without activity—the end result is predictable. Can such a life be called living? Real life is one that is full of movement. A person must be active, vibrant, and purposeful—a driving force in every aspect of life. The best human being is the one who keeps moving and thereby receives all the blessings that life has to offer. Movement, truly, is the secret to blessing. That is why every morning should begin with activity. Exercise is not an optional luxury; it is a necessity for both health and longevity. Walking, running, swimming, horseback riding, playing sports—these are all forms of exercise, and all of them are essential for a healthy life. Unfortunately, modern life has trapped us in routines so busy that we often forget about our own health. This neglect is not only strange but extremely dangerous. By ignoring movement, we risk our bodies, our futures, and even the strength of our society. Because here lies a deeper truth: your health is not just your right, it is also your responsibility. Every citizen owes good health to their nation. A society made up of strong, active, and healthy individuals naturally becomes a strong and prosperous nation. Conversely, a weak and inactive population cannot build a strong country. In this sense, staying healthy is both a personal right and a national duty. That is why I believe the greatest motto we can adopt as individuals and as a nation is simple yet profound: “Movement is a blessing.” So let your every day begin with movement. If you cannot spare much time, then exercise at home. There is always a way to keep the body active. Personally, despite my busy schedule, I never compromise on health. I play tennis, I run, and I exercise whenever possible. This is not a hobby for me—it is a discipline, a responsibility, and a source of blessing. The benefits of movement are not limited to the body. They extend to the mind and spirit as well. A body in motion keeps the mind sharp and the heart light. It strengthens willpower, clears away fatigue, and opens doors to creativity and productivity. Idleness, on the other hand, does the exact opposite—it dulls the mind, weakens the heart, and slowly eats away at the joy of life. Therefore, the choice is ours. We can either let laziness consume us or rise each morning with purpose and movement, embracing the gift of health. Let us not wait until illness reminds us of the value of wellness. Instead, let us live in such a way that every heartbeat is filled with energy, every action with purpose, and every day with gratitude. Movement is life. Movement is health. Movement is blessing.

Laughing My Way to Success
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: life has a wicked sense of humor. You can plan, prepare, and polish your shoes until they shine like mirrors, but in the end, you’ll probably slip on a banana peel anyway. The trick is not avoiding the fall—it’s learning how to laugh when you land. My journey to success isn’t filled with heroic achievements or grand breakthroughs. It’s built on embarrassing accidents, ridiculous mistakes, and the kind of blunders that could make anyone want to hide under a blanket forever. But somehow, those funny little disasters pushed me forward, and today, they’re the very reason I stand a little taller.

Developing Empathy Through Healthcare Volunteering
Empathy is one of the most crucial qualities in healthcare. It enables medical professionals to understand and empathize with their patients' feelings, providing a foundation for compassionate care. While many people consider empathy as something innate, it is also a skill that can be developed through experience and practice. Healthcare volunteering is one of the most effective ways to build and strengthen this skill. By interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds and experiencing the challenges they face, volunteers can learn to connect on a deeper emotional level, creating a more meaningful impact in the healthcare field.

The Small Text That Changed My Entire Relationship
Introduction Relationships are built on thousands of little moments—inside jokes, late-night talks, quiet glances. But sometimes, it only takes one small thing to create a massive shift. For me, that small thing was a text message. It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t long. But the impact it had on me, on my partner, and on the way we connected was unforgettable. Looking back, I can honestly say that one short text changed my entire relationship. --- When Words Felt Hard to Say Out Loud Like many couples, we sometimes struggled with communication. We loved each other deeply, but not every feeling was easy to share face-to-face. I often worried about saying the wrong thing, or I convinced myself my emotions were “too much.” Texts, on the other hand, felt safer. Shorter. Less intimidating. That’s why the message I received that night hit me differently—it wasn’t just words on a screen. It was raw honesty, typed out without hesitation. I’d spent months assuming that our love was obvious. That we didn’t need to say things out loud. But reading that message made me realize that expressing love clearly matters—even in the smallest doses. --- The Text That Changed Everything It was late evening when my phone buzzed. The message was simple: > “I don’t say this enough, but I need you to know—I love the way you make me feel safe.” At first, I read it quickly, almost brushing it off as just another “sweet” message. But then I reread it slowly. Safe. Out of all the words they could have chosen, that was the one. That single word carried weight. Safety meant trust. It meant comfort. It meant they didn’t just love me for how I looked or what I did—it was about how I made them feel inside. For the first time, I truly saw how much impact my actions had on my partner. It wasn’t about grand gestures or perfect moments; it was about the consistent love and support I had been showing every day, without realizing it. --- Why It Mattered So Much That text opened my eyes in a way conversations hadn’t. I realized that I had been underestimating the impact I had on my partner’s life. I worried constantly about not being “enough”—not funny enough, not successful enough, not perfect enough. But in their eyes, I already was enough, simply because of the security and love I offered. That message shifted my perspective. Instead of focusing on what I lacked, I began to focus on what I was already giving: presence, consistency, and care. I also noticed a subtle but important shift in myself. That text reminded me that love doesn’t always need to be proven—it needs to be felt. I started appreciating the small ways my partner showed me they cared, and I realized I could do the same. --- How It Changed the Way We Loved Each Other From that day on, our relationship slowly evolved in beautiful ways: I listened more. I started paying closer attention to what made my partner feel valued and secure. We expressed more gratitude. That one text inspired us to send more small, meaningful messages throughout the week. Arguments softened. When disagreements arose, remembering that word “safe” reminded me that we were on the same team, not opponents. Vulnerability became easier. If one text could hold that much meaning, then opening up more often didn’t feel so scary anymore. Daily check-ins became a habit. Even a quick “thinking of you” or “thank you for being here” strengthened our bond. --- The Power of Small Gestures People often think big grand gestures—bouquets of roses, expensive gifts, elaborate dates—are what transform relationships. But I learned it’s usually the small things: a gentle compliment, a text that says “I see you,” or a quiet gesture of support. That one little text cost nothing, took seconds to type, and yet its impact was priceless. It changed the way I saw myself, the way I valued my relationship, and the way we began to communicate consistently. It also reminded me that sometimes we assume people know how we feel. They don’t. And sometimes, we assume our actions speak louder than words. They don’t always. Clear, honest communication—even in tiny doses—can change everything. --- Final Thoughts Looking back, I realize it wasn’t just about the text itself—it was about what it represented. It reminded me that love doesn’t need grand declarations. Sometimes, the smallest words carry the deepest truths. If you’re in a relationship, don’t underestimate the power of a simple message. “I appreciate you.” “I’m proud of you.” “I love how you make me feel.” These little reminders can transform the way your partner feels and the way your relationship grows. For me, one small text reminded me that love is not about perfection—it’s about presence. That realization didn’t just strengthen our bond; it helped me appreciate the subtle, everyday ways we show care for one another. Sometimes, all it takes is one small text to shift your perspective and change your relationship forever.

From Daydreams to Destiny: Hira’s Journey of Hard Work and Triumph
The Journey of Hira: From Dreams to Triumph BY:Khan On a warm summer morning, Hira woke up early at dawn. After offering her Fajr prayer and whispering heartfelt supplications to her Creator, she crawled back into bed and drifted off to sleep again. She was a young girl with big dreams but very little seriousness toward the responsibilities ahead of her. Only three months remained before her matriculation board exams, yet Hira had never taken them seriously. Her mother often scolded her for her careless attitude, but the warnings and reprimands rarely made an impact. Hira enjoyed living in her world of dreams, imagining extraordinary success without putting in the necessary effort. One evening, when her mother expressed concern about her studies, Hira confidently said, “Ammi, don’t worry. I will secure first position in the exams. I will top the board and make you and Abu proud.” Her mother sighed, replying gently yet firmly, “Hira, my dear, dreaming is not enough. To achieve success, you must work hard. No one can top the board without studying.” Later, her father also sat down with her. His words were serious, yet full of love: “Beta, remember, in this world a person’s true honor comes through education. If you study sincerely, you will not only secure your future but also make me proud.” These words struck deep in Hira’s heart. For the first time, she realized that her father’s pride and respect depended on her hard work. That night, she made a silent promise to herself: I will change. I will work day and night until my parents are proud of me. From that day forward, Hira transformed. Gone were the idle hours spent in daydreams. She immersed herself in her books with unwavering dedication. Whether it was day or night, she was found surrounded by notebooks, pens, and the sound of flipping pages. Her friends noticed the change, her teachers were surprised, and even her parents wondered whether this determination would last. Six months passed in this intense struggle. Finally, the exams arrived, and Hira gave them her best. While most of her relatives and neighbors believed she would barely pass, Hira carried a secret confidence: she knew that hard work never goes unrewarded. The result day came with its nervous anticipation. At exactly 10:10 a.m., the announcement was made—Hira had not only topped her school but had also secured first position across the entire board. For a moment, silence spread in her home. Everyone stood still, trying to absorb the shocking yet delightful news. Could this really be the same Hira they had underestimated? Within minutes, the quietness turned into cheers. Her mother wept tears of joy. Her father’s face glowed with pride. Neighbors rushed to congratulate them, sweets were distributed across the street, and phone calls poured in with messages of congratulations. This success opened many doors for Hira. She secured admission into a prestigious college and continued her journey of excellence. Two years later, her father, recognizing her extraordinary potential, encouraged her to pursue higher education abroad. With his blessing, Hira traveled overseas, where she spent six long years completing her Ph.D. When she finally returned home, holding her doctorate degree, her father called her close and said with trembling voice and shining eyes, “Daughter, I am proud of you. May Allah bless every parent with a daughter like you.” Those words filled Hira’s eyes with tears. She realized that her deepest purpose in life had been fulfilled—she had become the pride of her parents. Overwhelmed with emotion, she recited a verse she had once read: “When courage is young and passion turns into madness, even destinations themselves bow in respect.” Hira’s journey didn’t stop at personal achievement. Soon, she married into a wealthy family, which gave her opportunities to travel across different countries. Yet she never forgot her roots or the struggles she had faced. She took her parents along for Hajj, fulfilling their lifelong dream. More importantly, Hira decided to use her education to uplift others. She established a free school for underprivileged children, determined to ensure that no child would be deprived of opportunities simply because of poverty. Her institution became a beacon of hope, where countless students learned that with hard work, they too could reach the heights of success. Hira’s life became a testimony to the power of determination and faith. She had once been an idle dreamer, unwilling to lift a book, yet she transformed into a role model for her community and beyond. Her story reminded everyone that success is not about where you begin, but about the effort and sincerity you invest along the way. In the end, Hira proved that dreams are important, but discipline and perseverance turn those dreams into reality. She showed that a daughter’s true victory lies not just in personal gain, but in bringing honor to her parents, contributing to society, and leaving behind a legacy that inspires generations to come.
