I Only Allow That Which Is Good Into My Life. Top Story - October 2023. Content Warning.
I only allow that which is good into my life... This is true for me...now. It took me a long time to get to a point in which I can say, I only allow what is good into my life. I spent a long time allowing things that were not good for me into my life. So long in fact, that I did not know how to filter the bad out. Or that I even could filter out the bad. I had no clue that I could choose what came into my life.

DO I NEED TO COMPENSATE FOR MY WEAKNESSES WITH MY STRENGTHS?
Should I use my strengths to balance out my weaknesses? That’s a question that’s crossed my mind more than once. Life can be challenging, and when those challenges appear is when I truly ask myself this. Some people suggest that we should only concentrate on our strengths, but others say we should acknowledge our weaknesses and work to enhance them. I don’t know which side is right.

Steven Kwashie was a nice young man. He wanted a job but he couldn't find one. Many people wanted to work and there weren't many jobs .Steven felt sad because he never had enough money for clothes or rent a house. When he was younger Steven wanted to be a footballer. He was good at football and was good at every sport but there were other better players since he did not get the chance to get better training . Now he was a grown man and had to get something doing but things were hard for him. He tried hard to find a job ,he looked in the newspapers every day and he wrote letters for jobs a lot of letters but he never found a job. One day he saw something in the newspaper about an industry who were interviewing people for a job,he got so excited. On the due date of the interview, Steven made sure that he was well organized to empress the CEO of the industry. When Steven got there,he could not believe his eyes, there were almost fifty people waiting for their turn for the interview and it was just seven in the morning. Steven patiently waited for his turn. As he was waiting, there was an old man who was passing by but unfortunately fell. No one cared to help because they were afraid to help the old man and later miss their interview. Steven was also scared but had pity on the old man and cared enough to help him. Steven got a taxi for the old man, helped him home and later came but unfortunately for him,he missed his turn. There was nothing he could do about it and went back home sad. The next day, Steven took a stroll on his street recalling the pain on how he lost his chance on getting a job. Just as he was crossing the street, there was a car driving at his direction and before he realized he got hit by the car and fell unconscious . The driver put him in the car and quickly rushed him to the hospital. After some thorough treatment,he woke up realizing he was at the hospital. He asked the nurse treating his wound how he got to the hospital and the nurse explained that a young man with an old man brought him to the hospital. Steven actually did not remember what happened and insisted on seeing the young man and the old man. When they entered his ward,Steven couldn’t believe his eyes,it was the old man he had helped at the industry. He also looked at the young man and thought perhaps he was the old man’s son. The young man and old man apologized for what happened and promised to help Steven in anything he wants to repay him for what he did at the industry. Steven refused their offer but they still insisted. Steven didn't say anything about the job to the old man and the young man ,he smiled and said “it's all right” but inside he was very sad .The young man and old man introduced themselves to Steven “My name is Mr Franklin” said the old man “and this is my son Anthony”. Steven,Anthony and Mr Franklin talked and laughed for a while but Steven gave a sad face later. The old man saw Steven's sad face and asked him “What's wrong my young friend”. Steven told him the story about how he missed the interview and lost an opportunity to get a job .Then a strange thing happened the old man smiled and then he laughed ,”Why did he laugh” Steven thought and he felt a little angry the old man was his friend but this was a bad day for Steven and it wasn't funny. Steven couldn't speak or smile the old man saw this and he stopped laughing then he said “Listen to me Steven and don't be sad I'm a rich man I've got a lot of shops in different towns and they're all sports shops I want an intelligent young man to work in my new shop it's also my biggest shop will you work for me I think I know you now you were very kind to me on helping me at the industry”, “you're the right person for the job ,what's your answer”. This is wonderful Steven said with a happy smile this is the best day of my life not the worst. After some days Steven got better and was discharged from the hospital. Mr Franklin made Steven stay in his house and took him as his son. Steven worked hard at the sports shops and Mr Franklin’s business became one of the best selling products in the country.

So I Got This Email
I don’t use Medium. I set up an account some time ago but I’ve yet to do anything with it. It’s hard to explain why… perhaps I just don’t find the interface particularly friendly or engaging. There is some lack I feel about it. Some unexplainable void vibe. I’m really not sure what it is exactly… there is just something that doesn’t feel friendly about it. It’s not to say I won’t use it, just that I haven’t so far.
