How to Add Positivity Into Life...

Smile

There is too much negative energy in this world. Even little things can be a cause of major negativity. This is why smiling is one of the best forms of positive energy. Without positive energy, we become negative people, and negative people can lead to the worst things, so here are a few ideas of how to make someone smile, or to make yourself smile.

1. Starting With Yourself

Accept who you are. You can't change the way you are or the way you think. Accepting that you have negative thoughts and feelings, and that you don’t enjoy how you’re currently responding to them, can help you begin the process of becoming more positive.

Try not to judge yourself for your thoughts or feelings. The thoughts that pop up or the feelings you experience are not necessarily “good” or “bad,” they’re just thoughts and feelings. What you can control is how you understand those feelings and how to deal with those feelings.

Accept the things about yourself that you can’t change. If you’re an introverted person who needs quiet time alone to “recharge,” trying to be an extrovert all the time will probably just make you feel unhappy and emotionally drained. Accept yourself for who you are right now, just as you are. You can then feel free to develop that self into the most positive self you can be!

2. Offering

This is a way of giving off positive energy and it’s so effective.

For example; If you are making any food/drinks, offer to make others something as well. It shows that you care about them and when they show gratitude for what you have done, they know you have done a good deed ,which makes them smile and also that gratitude makes you feel better, which also leads to you smiling because others are happy.

This works if you see someone struggling with their shopping, or if they are just having a bad day. A little offer goes a long way.

3. Compliments and Acknowledgements

I'm a firm believer that one small compliment can make a difference. Now compliments are harmless as it spreads a little bit of love and adds positivity to someone's life; however, if someone doesn't acknowledge the fact you said something loving towards them, then that's when you feel like you wasted your time, which is something you do not need in your life. If someone says, "Hey, you looked really nice the other day" any acknowledgement, even a small one such as "Thank you—that's really nice of you to say" can go a long way. Kind words help.

4. Being a Shoulder to Cry On

Being a shoulder to cry on is, in my opinion, a high reward system because it will build a bond with people. Being a person who needs a shoulder to cry on is difficult because you lose all sense of trust and you start believing unspeakable things, which causes negative feelings. People who are the shoulders to cry on are the ones you end up trusting because they listen and take on your problems while giving helpful advice and being respectful. When they do that, the person who is upset has the thought in their head that there are good things in this world. Just being there helps a lot in any situation.

5. Remember Happy Memories

This is something that does get overlooked because it's in the past, but memories remind us what happiness is. It could be anything from going to a live show, meeting your childhood friend, or going on holiday with loved ones. Life is too short to dwell on upsetting and sad memories. Sit back, remember moments in your life when you were on top of the world. Everything helps.

There are tons of positive things to do within your life, and we can't spend time on negative actions, emotions, or people. The only way we can fight it is by smiling.

Have a good one!
