"She Believed She Could, So She Did"

Strength is put into action, as you choose to do something, even when you are told that you cannot do it.

When life brings you to the ultimate point of choosing whether it is time to give up or keep pushing forward, despite opposing obstacles—it can be hard to choose between the two. Lately it is as if my life is opposite of what I thought it would be—it seems like I am working harder than I have before, yet not seeing any fruits of my labor. How can that be, when I work so hard? Something that I have learned along my journey of life is that it sometimes—and even in most cases—it takes years of hard work to see the fruit of the seeds that you planted. Like a business, for example—realistically, it will take about five years of hard work and dedication to see consistent income, before you are truly off the ground. The same goes for our private lives—be it personally, relationally or career wise—it will take a little while before you see the fruit of your labor.

Even when things look opposite of what you thought they would, and even when everyone is against your idea, or what you feel is best for you, I am telling you to move forward despite opposition. The statement “she believed she could, so she did” is so incredibly powerful and a huge encouragement, and it does not relate to only women, but men too. It is so import that—even despite constant opposition—you continue to believe in yourself, because if you do not, other people’s opinions will begin to break and wear you down and then, you will stop doing what you were called to do.

For those that have already given up, and thrown in the towel, this one is for you, too—my heart goes out to you because I understand putting things down for a season—and that is just it: it is just a season. Look at your life, and examine what you have given up, due to opposing circumstance, and other people’s opinions, about what they think you should be doing, and begin again. It is not too late to start over, or to start where you have left off, all that matters is that you get up again.

Whatever situation you may find yourself in, find that dream you once had, and pick it up again and do not let it go dormant—I promise you that the world needs what you have inside of you, and what you plan to do in this world to make it a better place to live. As a future stay at home mama, and wife, it is so crucial for me now to have a game plan, to continue what I have been called to, after I get married.

I plan to have a business, and community outreach for women, and even though my health has failed me in many ways, and circumstances seem as though it is totally opposite from what I wanted, I still see the subtle connected of dots. Search deep within you, open your eyes around you to the subtleties in your life, and see how everything you do aligns you to your greater purpose. You are not here by accident, but by choice—do something great with that life you have been given!

My challenge for everyone to do this week is to search deep into your heart, and life and see what you have set aside, due to people’s opinions and adverse circumstances, and do three things to get closer to your dreams and goals. It can be relationally, career, or personally or all three—you pick—just make sure that you do SOMETHING!

Until next time beloveds, enjoy this adventure!
