We were always told since being kids, when you grow up you should be a doctor, or a lawyer or something that just pays really well. Of course as having a job that pays well is the most common pursuit in everyone's life did you stop think about if you're happy at doing what you are doing, and that you are doing it for yourself not because you should or because someone told you to. Did you stop and think that doing something that you are not happy with could possibly affect your mental state? I know it's ideal to go and apply to this or that job just because the pay is so well, and it is ideal to always want better for yourself, but let me ask you this is this ideal job where you are breaking your back doing everything you possibly can worth you being unhappy or stressing just because the money is that great? If you answered yes then this article isn't for you, but if you answered no then keep on reading.

Let me start off by saying this, yes money is great and all but it is not everything. Money comes and goes, it goes way faster than the amount of hours you put in to make that money. I for one was always the type to apply to these jobs I really didn't want to be at only to become less and less happy to the point where it started affecting me more mentally. I feel people tend to judge others for the places they work at whether it's a fast food place, or a grocery store, a restaurant etc. Let me get this straight a job is a job, and kudos to anyone and everyone who don't let others belittle them for what they do, because at least they are happy. People look down on these kind of places simply because they are not the ideal job everyone really talks about. But I mean hey some people actually like what they do even if it is sitting at a desk all day, and if that's you great for you I give your props. But for those of you who do have those jobs because of the money, and you are not happy maybe you should rethink if that job is worth it. Think of it this way we all work, and work, and work so why can't it be doing something we actually like?

We live in this generation where we tend to put our own health, mentally and physically last because of a job we need so badly to keep. But you know what, if something were to actually happen to you, and I hope nothing does do you think that job you were so eager to break your back for is going to care? NO they are going to set up interviews right away it'll be like you were never there. All I am trying to say is you matter, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Take care of yourself first, take time off to make sure you are okay, to make sure you can actually do the things you want to do outside of work. Whether is be hobbies, spending time with your family, or even taking a mini vacation you may so badly need. Make sure that whatever it is you are doing that you can be happy with, and actually want to go to work. Because at the end of the day money is just a piece of paper, and you are worth way more than pieces of paper than can be reprinted, there's only one you so please don't take yourself for granted. That job probably needs you way more than you need it.
