Your path, your choice.

Obey Your Calling

In recent conversations with clients, friends, and family, I have heard the following words: Unaligned, dissatisfied, unhappy, and complacent. The subject matter was not in regards to any particular category, just life or business in general.

It seems that no matter who I am speaking with, everyone is struggling with soul searching needs and self-awareness issues. Positive vibrations and frequencies tend to be at an all-time low. Because we just entered the Age of Aquarius, this should not be the case.

I understand that the pandemic has put a dent in our accustomed lifestyle, but that is precisely why we should focus on getting our vibrations higher than ever. I believe that one of the main factors responsible for the lack of a higher frequency in our spirit is the fact that we are spreading ourselves way too thin. Why is that? The short answer would be that we do not want to miss an opportunity that could potentially bring us a step closer to our achievements.

Busy people tend to take on false responsibilities when it comes to opportunities that might advance us in the direction of success. Instead of identifying the true value of an opportunity at hand, we jump at the possibility to strike gold. We network with this group and collaborate with that organization, all in hopes of getting our name out there often enough for people to recognize it and eventually call upon our talents.

Although the concept is solid and produces somewhat of a logical foundation, what is it that we are getting out of it? Are the contribution of time, money, and mental exhaustion worth the sacrifice? From a monetary standpoint of view, we might enjoy an extra dollar here and there, but more often than not we engage in projects that were not made for us in the first place. Before we know it we spend our energy on matters that weren't ours to be concerned with at all.

We all have a calling, a purpose if you wish and we cannot disregard what was meant for us. So how do we determine what projects and duties to get involved with? There isn’t a “One Size Fits All” answer and I would never suggest forsaking anyone who might require your services. However. I believe that as long as you don’t lose focus of who you are and what your personal goal and vision are, you may take all the roads to Rome you wish. But it seems that so many of us have done exactly the opposite. We have gotten so busy applying ourselves to other people’s goals and visions that we, slowly but surely, lost the way to our mission.

When we submit ourselves to this sort of entrapment, it is only a matter of time before we lose motivation and the joy of what drove us to our passion in the first place. It is important…Nay…ESSENTIAL to rekindle the love and passion for our personal goal and vision.

I dare say meditation is in order. Maybe even a realignment on how we perceive life? A healthier diet might even be beneficial.

We need to regain focus. Once we have done so, we can retrace where and when the trade of our personal goal and vision, was replaced for that of another individual. This takes some quiet time, prayer, meditation, and serious “me-time” but it is worth it in the end.

There is nothing wrong with networking and collaboration. We all should be part of the fantastic opportunities to do so.

But if there is no balance between your mission and those of others, you will feel the effects inevitably and they come in the form of nonalignment, dissatisfaction, unhappiness, and complacency.

So go ahead and take your sweet time to figure out what it is that makes you happy. Find that place of peace and contempt by really searching yourself on a much deeper level. Once you get back on track, obey your calling and let nothing stop you.
