No Fan, No Comfort… Just Heat and a Dream That Refuses to Die

Some battles are fought in silence, in rooms no one ever sees.

Some of us are fighting battles no one sees.

It is June.

The kind of heat that does not stay outside but slowly enters your body, your thoughts, your patience. The kind of heat that makes even breathing feel heavy. And here I am, sitting in my small room on the rooftop, where the sun feels closer than usual.

There is no fan.

No air.

No comfort.

Just heat… and a dream.

Morning begins with sweat already on my face.

Before I even open my book, I feel tired. The air does not move. The walls feel warm. The floor itself carries heat like fire stored inside it.

Afternoon is worse.

It feels like the world is burning, and I am sitting in the middle of it, trying to study, trying to focus, trying to become something.

Even the night does not bring peace.

The heat stays, as if it has decided to live with me.

I sit on the floor with my books open.

I try to read.

I try to understand.

But sometimes the words blur, not because they are difficult, but because my mind is exhausted from fighting everything around me.

The heat fights me.

My thoughts fight me.

My body feels weak.

And sometimes… I feel like giving up.

But I don’t.

Because I have something stronger than comfort.

I have goals.

Big goals.

Not just dreams for myself, but dreams for my family, my future, and for people I have not even met yet.

I want to earn.

I want to stand on my own feet.

I want to support my parents, to give them rest after all their sacrifices.

I want to help the poor, the ones who struggle silently like me.

There is also pressure.

Family pressure.

Not always spoken, but always present.

Expectations that sit quietly in the background but never leave.

No one comes and asks, “Are you okay?”

No one says, “Do you need something?”

No one thinks, “Maybe he needs a fan.”

And yes, sometimes that hurts.

Not because I am asking for luxury…

But because even small comfort feels far away.

But then I remind myself of something I once read:

“Stars can’t shine without darkness.”

Maybe this is my darkness.

Maybe this is the phase that is shaping me into something stronger.

Because I am not studying in comfort.

I am not chasing success in perfect conditions.

I am building myself in difficulty, in heat, in silence.

And that changes a person.

Because comfort can make you slow.

But struggle makes you sharp.

Pain teaches you discipline.

Hardship teaches you patience.

Sometimes I look at others.

They have better rooms.

They have fans, cool air, peace.

They study without fighting their environment.

And for a moment, I ask myself:

“Why not me?”

But then another thought answers:

“Because your journey is different.”

I believe that.

I have to believe that.

Because if I stop now, then all this struggle will mean nothing.

So I sit again.

I open my book again.

I wipe the sweat again.

And I continue.

No one is watching.

No one is clapping.

No one is noticing.

But one day…

They will see the result.

They will see success.

And they will say:

“He got lucky.”

But I will remember everything.

This room.

This heat.

This silence.

This version of myself who kept going when it was hardest.

I know one thing clearly:

“Success is not for those who wait for comfort. It is for those who continue without it.”

So I continue.

Not because it is easy.

Not because I enjoy the struggle.

But because I refuse to let my circumstances decide my future.

If you are reading this, and you are struggling too…

In your own way, in your own place…

Then understand this:

You are not alone.

Your pain is real.

Your effort is not wasted.

One day, all of this will make sense.

One day, this struggle will turn into strength.

One day, you will look back and realize that this was the moment that changed everything.

This is not just a story.

This is my reality.

And I am still here.

Still trying.

Still fighting.

Still believing.

And I am not stopping.

Not today.

Not tomorrow.

Not ever.

If you believe in real struggle, stay connected.

Because this journey is just beginning, and I will keep sharing every step until I reach where I am meant to be.
