Be Grateful For Life Today to Celebrate a Birthday Tomorrow
Our Expectations A few years ago, on September 8, I attended two events. The first one during the day was a memorial service/celebration of life. The second one during the evening was a birthday celebratåion. I'm sure you probably think the memorial service was an older person, while the birthday was for a younger one. That's okay because it is natural to feel this way.

Irish Icons Leading The Way For Women's Sport
Women in sport have long stood by the side lines, waiting for their moment to come into play. Even the terms ‘women’s football’, ‘women’s athletics’, and ‘women’s — or sometimes ladies’ — tennis’, assume that there is something unusual, against the norm about a woman picking up a racket or running on to the pitch (we never hear it referred to as ‘men’s football’ after all).

Confusion and Motivation
This is coming from a time which this feels like the hardest part yet. This has completely taken me for a whirlwind which that I did not expect. I am in the program that I do want to be in. Although each day is another day to getting older and that is freaking me out. There is nothing else right now that I have built up to be enough to live on my own. From time to time everything feels overwhelming. I am using this platform to build a skill which can be shared that does feel therapeutic to me. Once my skills are developed this can hopefully give me some leverage. Regardless there are several different areas I plan to dive into. Essays where never my thing in school and college. Where I work now can so not stand and it just is’nt anything I want to do long term. One day, this site popped up on Facebook, being the curious person just had to check it out. I do know where I want to go, but no one can stay in the nest forever.

The Root of Your Intention
In the Christian environment that I was raised in, I often heard the phrase "money is the root of all evil." I heard it so frequently that I could practically predict its arrival in conversations, when it was being prepared in the mind to roll off the tongue as a philosophical addition to the complaints of the current state of the world. I was raised to believe that money was a product of hell, that it was created to be a mind-control tactic that could manipulate people into committing awful acts for the sake of it. While some of these views can ring true when looking at many situations on a global and individual scale, I’ve come to learn that this perspective helped to integrate what I refer to as the scarcity mindset within my family, and thus within me.

Happiness is Bike Shaped
My friends often tease me that I never smile in the photos (selfies) I take when I am out on my bike. I don’t know why my face refuses to crack a smile because, for me, I’m at my happiest when I’m hitting the open road on my bike. In fact, I’d go as far as saying, happiness for me is definitely bike shaped.
