The Law Of Attraction
I always knew I was the odd one out. As I had thought people looked at me funny day in and day out, I had only thought and wondering what was going through their minds. Meanwhile while I was rubbing and gripping my hands as my sweat started to warm up and make my palms all sticky. I had always knew there was something possibly wrong. Growing up as a child all I ever seen was a cask of a cheap, smelly, white wine, bottles of degreaser and petrol fumes lingering around in the air.

I have entered apart of my life with a new awareness and ability to control my perception. The mindset is crucial as the vessel burns in the depths of the night upon the water. I take a breath and focus on the present as I anticipate the visions of the past to come crashing into view. Before I learned to burn bridges to ensure progress forward I had to collect the memories to utilize building a foundation.

Facts
Her palms were sweaty and starting to get prickly and itchy, a sign the anxiety was worsening. She would need to take her anti-anxiety medicine if she couldn’t steady herself. In her lap, sat her little black book. She started to rub it between her two hands like she was trying to start a fire with two sticks. A fire that would ignite and burn bright with her winning the quiz show’s $20,000 grand prize. In her book were facts. Facts seemed irrelevant and disregarded these days, but they all mattered to her. She’d been collecting facts her whole life. From the time she could toddle out to the backyard and study an ant hill, she’d obsessed over collecting information and storing facts. Each fact helped her make sense of the world, a place that had made her feel like a space alien all her life.

Believe
Reluctantly he dropped the key through the slot in the door and slowly looked around him. He knew this wasn’t his home and he couldn’t stay here forever, but it felt like home, more than anywhere else he had ever lived. Never before had he had such misgivings about leaving. The grey and overcast sky seemed fitting for how he was feeling, and as he bent down to lift his suitcase from the step, a cold drizzle began to fall. In the distance, he could hear the foghorn sound over the harbor that was all but invisible with the fog rolling in from the sea.

It was the ninth month Pete was out of work. The Covid-19 pandemic changed the world as he and everyone else knew it. At first it felt like a giant, old-fashioned two week snow day. He was a neighborhood favorite to run into and pick up anyones day. With his pale, blue eyes and a smile that charmed the good mood out of anyone. A smile that had become forced and hidden regardless under the mandatory mask he and everyone else now wore as standard as shoes.
