How To Take 100% Responsibility For Your Life

“What should I do? How to proceed? What decision should I make? Am I behaving correctly? And how is it right after all? “ We will never receive answers to such questions from others, they are only within ourselves.

How do you feel when you hear the word “responsibility”? For many women, this word is associated with something heavy, overwhelming. Indeed, we often confuse male and female responsibility, try (or have to) take on more than necessary. But even more often we shift onto others the most important kind of responsibility, which should never be parted by anyone — responsibility for our lives!

It happens that we do not trust ourselves so much that we are ready to accept someone else’s advice with much greater zeal than the answer that our own mind, our soul, prompts. It may seem to us that other people are more competent, they have more experience, knowledge … But in reality, we are simply afraid to take responsibility for our own decisions and actions.

Taking responsibility for ourselves means recognizing that everything we have in our life (all the achievements and all the problems) we created with our own hands. In fact, we have no right to say: “ I married him once, and therefore my whole life did not work out like that, ” or “ I dreamed of being a housewife, but was forced to work because my husband did not provide for me ”, or “ I always wanted to build a career, but my husband put me at home, and because of this, my career failed. “ Deep down, we understand that this is self-deception. We ourselves have chosen such a man, such a job, such friends. We do or emphatically do not do something in our lives and we get a completely natural result, the responsibility for which lies only with ourselves.

On the one hand, this awareness is painful, and causes many feelings of guilt, resentment towards themselves, a feeling of their worthlessness. But on the other hand, taking responsibility for your life opens up millions of possibilities.

The word “responsibility” is very similar to the word “answer”, and by and large, responsibility is the ability to give the right answers for oneself to the questions that life asks. It is important to understand here that there are no truly right or wrong answers to the questions of life, there is only an answer that is right for you now.

Every step, every decision has certain consequences. These consequences create the reality that we rely on to move on. There is space for every step to move forward, but only if we take responsibility for that step. Shifting responsibility onto others, we lose solid ground under our feet, we find ourselves in a cloud of illusions, expectations, and claims to other people. The movement stops, nothing changes in life, the results do not come.

How do you take responsibility for your life?

1. Allow yourself to be wrong.

First of all, you need to realize that any decision you make will be right and wrong at the same time. We live in a world where there are no perfect solutions. Each decision brings something new into our life and deprives us of something. The question is not about making the best choice in the world, but about making the best choice for yourself now.

2. Never blame yourself.

This is your decision and you were entitled to it. Even if it took you in the wrong place. Wherever you are on the road of life, accept yourself and walk towards your dream.

3. Trust yourself.

4. Take action.

Responsibility presupposes action, and action presupposes results. If you have a lot of conversations in your life and no results, ask yourself two simple questions: “What do I really want? How can I achieve this? “ And … go for it!

5. Do not exchange a dream for immediate results.

We often feel our responsibility at the moment “here and now”, but in global issues, we hope for a miracle. Building big life plans “brick by brick”, from immediate results, is really a skill.

There are not many people in the world who are ready to take responsibility for their lives. There are many more who like to give advice. Become an adult! This is a great opportunity to separate from the majority and live happily!
