How to Make Every Day the Best Day

Ways to Make the Most of Every Day

We all have bad days. Some days seem to never end. It's easy for us to make today another average day; however, there is a way to turn every day into the best day.

Find the good in everything, and be grateful for it. When you wake up in the morning, find something that you can be grateful for. You can be thankful that you have a roof over your head, food in the refrigerator, lights, and water to take a shower (assuming you do).

If there is nothing like that at the present moment, try thinking about something else; it might help you find what you are looking for.

When you go to sleep at night, think about all the good things that happened that day. This will help you realize that not every day has to be a bad day.

Try asking yourself "What can I do?" instead of "I can't". If you feel like there is something you need to do, but don't know how or if it will work, try asking yourself "What can I do?" and see if you get an answer.

Always think about your best friends; even if they aren't with you in person, they will always be there for you. When we are having a rough day, we might not pay much attention to our friends until it gets better; however, make sure you send them a text or an email to say "Thank You" for being there when everything was fine, and most importantly, when everything wasn't.

Trust your instincts; if something doesn't feel right, it's most likely that thing that is wrong. It might be scary at first, but following our instincts can save us from danger.

It is very easy to say that today is just another day, but if we each can take some time out of our days and give it to someone else(especially those who are less fortunate), then maybe everyone's life would be changed forever.

Many people practice mindfulness meditation for its stress-reducing effects alone. The constant stream of worries and other troubles that we believe we must be solving constantly is quieted when we meditate; we stop focusing on what could go wrong, allowing us to think more clearly and calmly.

It is true that mindfulness meditation does have a calming effect. By being more aware of what we are doing and paying attention to our surroundings, our minds become calmer and less fixated on the negative.

Mindfulness meditation has been used successfully for many conditions, including stress, anxiety, depression, sleep problems, chronic pain and illness. Recent research shows it may also help to promote weight loss.

If you practice mindfulness in your daily life, you will start taking note of what makes you happy and filled with joy. You might be surprised how often it occurs: when a friend smiles at you, when you take a bite into your favorite food, or when the sun hits the leaves just right. By taking note of what makes you happy, you can make every day the best day.

Try not to forget that one way to make every day the best day is to give your best to others.
