What is freelancing?

Freelancing is a skill in which a person makes money with his laptop or pc and is independent to do work anytime he wants. He does not need to work 9 to 5 jobs to earn. He doesn’t need to work under a boss or owner because he is independent in doing work, which is called freelancing. He charges money for his skill and charge money per hour. Some freelancers charge money after order completion.

Mistakes of newbies

Some newbies make many mistakes when they start freelancing. The first mistake every freelancer makes is they come on freelancing platforms and offer a service in which they don’t have any skill. They don’t know the work properly, and they show that service. The problem they face is that when they get an order, they don’t know how to do this work properly and can’t provide enough quality. They delivered their work, and as a result, they got bad ratings. And this is the biggest mistake ever because when a bad review shows on their profile, no one will be going to order from them again, and their freelancing career finished before starting.

Freelancing websites

If you own skill, then you should go on freelancing websites now. Make your profile attractive, write your skills professionally, and don’t write any skill you don’t know. There are many platforms on which you can make your profile, and my suggestion is to create a profile and sell your services on all freelancing platforms. Search on the browser about freelancing websites and make an account on every website. The most famous are Fiverr and Upwork. On Fiverr, you have to make a gig after profile completion. Once you make your profile, make the gig and define your skills. Clients come to your gig and order your service if they are interested. On Upwork, clients post their project and budget first, then you have to bid on that project, and if you succeed in impressing the client, they hire you. You have to learn communication skills to win the task quickly. Remember, many people bid on one project, but the clients hire those who impress them. Make a winning proposal so that they will surely hire you without overthinking.

Mistakes that freelancers make on Fiverr

New freelancers go to Fiverr, make their profile, make a gig and wait for the first order. The mistake they make is that they make a gig with too much competition category. The tip is you have to do keyword research in your skill; then, you have to make a list and do manual keyword research in your category. Search your skill on Fiverr, and Fiverr will show you more keywords in your searched category. Then click on every keyword and see if there is low competition in that keyword, write it down in a notepad then do this process again. Once you make a list, make a gig and add all your low-competition keywords in the title tags and description option. Also, add the main keywords on the pricing option.

Important tip

As you know, you are a new freelancer. At this time, you don’t have any reviews on your profile. You need orders to get reviews on your profile and gig. And there are also level one, level two, and level three sellers on Fiverr. Why do client order your service if they have level one, level two, and level three sellers? You have to give them quality with a minimum amount of money. You must set your price lower than other sellers and make your gig image attractive. Then, the client will indeed click on your gig. Then make your description attractive and to the point about what you will give him. Include your service clearly in the description and don’t mention the services as an efficiency that you can’t provide him. Once he orders you, do his work efficiently and try to make him your returning buyer. I hope these tips will surely help you in your freelancing career as a newbie and make you successful as a freelancer.
