How can you forgive the person who did you wrong?

You are still the one who benefitted when you forgive.

God does not sin, He knows how to forgive.

How about you? Should you forgive?

How can you forgive the person who is doing evil to you?

The servants of God, such as David, do good.

But sometimes, they reap evil instead.

Let us read Psalms 109:4.

"For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love."

What hurt David more, his own son became one of his enemies,

he who had the desire to usurp his throne - Absalom.

His son who desired to do evil to him,

while he loved that son of his very much.

His beloved son

was the one who planned to kill him and take his throne.

Perhaps, your fellowman has not yet done you such evil,

what was done to David was more evil.

And with Christ, He healed the sick,

He made the blind see and resurrected the dead,

yet they wanted to kill Him.

Let us read John 10:31.

"Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them,

Many good works have I showed you from my Father;

for which of those works do ye stone me?"

"I did many good things to you. Why do you stone Me?"

Perhaps, you were not yet stoned.

Christ was stoned and they wanted to kill Him,

same with David.

He was surrounded and was desired to be killed

by people to whom he did good.

The question is - how can you forgive?

Do what Christ did.

He was being killed, He was on the cross, His prayer was,

"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

That is a good consolation

for you to say that your enemies do not know what they do

because you have no evil intention.

You are not doing evil to him

yet he continues to do evil to you.

Instead of doing good, he does evil to you.

What will you do?

Be like Christ.

He was being killed but He still prayed for them who were killing Him.

If you feel that, you will be able to forgive.

Let us read Ephesians 4:32.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

How can we forgive?

even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

If you will compare,

God does not sin against you but He forgives you.

You will forgive like God did because He forgives.

The comparison: God does not sin, He knows how to forgive.

How about you? Should you forgive?

Yes, because you also sin.

Christ said in Matthew 6:14,

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses,

your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,

neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

When you forgive, God will also forgive you.

You also commit sin, don't you?

Perhaps, not to the person you were saying,

but maybe, you have committed sin against other people,

your spouse, children, relatives and others.

If you forgive that person,

God will also forgive the sins you committed against others.

So, you are still the one who benefitted when you forgive.

How does God forgive?

Let us read Hebrews 8:12.

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness,

and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

If you will just think, it is very wonderful.

Why?

God has perfect memory.

He does not forget.

He can remember all things.

But despite His perfect memory, He is saying something

which is a wonderful thing for us to consider.

Which is that?

"...their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

Imagine, totally, He will forget it.

That's how He forgives.

That's what you should do.

Submit yourself to God, acknowledge God.

All the bitterness in your heart will be gone.

Let me put it this way.

I will give you a tip.

When you have bitterness in your heart,

you have hormones that always have an upsurge,

it is a kind of hormones in the body.

You will have hormonal imbalance.

The hatred, ill feeling, jealousy,

the bitterness hidden in your heart affects your hormonal condition.

That is the worst.

Anger may release chemicals and hormones.

Releasing hormones because of anger being kept inside the heart,

not only affects the heart muscle,

but it also affects our moods, our thinking.

And then, dictates the body to produce hormones and chemicals

that will practically destroy the body,

will be the source of many ailments.

So, you see, brother, forget about it.

Just think, "Who do you think you are?

How important are you for me to hold a grudge against you?"

I will just think that you do not exist.

That's it.

Because God said that if your heart is happy,

it's like taking a very good medicine.
