Elephant Ellie

Once upon a time, in a far-off jungle, there lived a big, grey elephant named Ellie. Ellie was the largest elephant in the jungle, and she had a long, wavy trunk and big, floppy ears. She was very kind and gentle, and all the other animals in the jungle loved her.

One day, while Ellie was out for a walk, she came across a little monkey who was crying. The monkey told Ellie that her family's bananas were all gone, and they had nothing to eat. Ellie felt very sorry for the little monkey, and she decided to help her out.

Ellie remembered that there was a big banana tree on the other side of the jungle. She knew that the bananas there were very sweet and delicious, so she offered to take the monkey to the tree to get some bananas. The monkey was very grateful, and she jumped onto Ellie's back.

Ellie trudged through the jungle, carrying the monkey on her back. They walked past tall trees, over rocky hills, and through deep rivers. Finally, they reached the banana tree. The monkey jumped off Ellie's back and scampered up the tree to pick some bananas.

Ellie waited patiently at the bottom of the tree, watching the monkey as she picked bananas. But suddenly, she heard a loud noise. It was a group of hunters! They had come to the jungle to hunt elephants for their ivory tusks.

Ellie knew she had to act fast. She trumpeted as loud as she could to warn the other animals, and then she ran away as fast as her big, grey legs would carry her. She ran past the tall trees and over the rocky hills, with the hunters hot on her heels.

The monkey heard Ellie's trumpet and quickly climbed down the tree. She saw the hunters and knew she had to help Ellie. She ran after Ellie, and as she caught up, she shouted, "Ellie, over here!" and led her to a nearby cave.

Ellie followed the monkey into the cave, and the monkey quickly blocked the entrance with a big rock. The hunters searched and searched, but they couldn't find Ellie. They gave up and went away.

Ellie and the monkey were safe. Ellie was very grateful to the monkey for saving her. She thanked her and said, "You are a true friend." The monkey smiled and hugged Ellie's trunk.

Ellie and the monkey became best friends. They would often go on adventures together and help each other out whenever one of them needed it. And from that day on, Ellie made sure to always keep an eye out for the monkeys in the jungle, and made sure they always had enough bananas to eat.

From that day on, Ellie made a promise to herself to protect not only her monkey friends, but all the animals in the jungle from the hunters. She spread the word to all the animals in the jungle about the hunters and taught them how to hide and protect themselves. She also made sure to keep watch over the banana trees and made sure that the monkeys and other animals had enough food to eat.

Ellie's kindness and bravery did not go unnoticed. All the animals in the jungle looked up to her as a leader and protector. They knew that with Ellie around, they were safe. And so, the jungle was filled with peace and harmony once again.

Years passed, and Ellie and the monkey grew old together. They would often sit under the big banana tree and tell stories of their adventures to the young animals. The young animals looked up to them with admiration and knew that they too, could be kind, brave and protective just like Ellie.

And so, Ellie's legacy lived on. She will always be remembered as the kind and gentle elephant who protected her jungle and her friends.
