Early risers are more likely to have an enlightened life

We often say, "The early bird gets the worm", but this is also a way of life.

Early rising as a lifestyle habit is becoming more and more respected, and a research team from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has confirmed that early risers are less mentally stressed and have higher mental health.

As the saying goes, "the plan of the day lies in the morning". What do people who are good at mastering the morning hours look like?

Today, I would like to share with you some stories about early risers.

Early risers are more likely to make a career out of it

James Hitlin, CEO of an executive search firm, emailed 20 very good professional managers on a whim early one morning to see how they all organised their mornings.

It turned out that 18 people replied to him in less than 10 minutes and most of them woke up at 5:00am to either read, work on their work plans or just take a morning walk.

Early mornings are the most self-controlled time in most people's schedules, so the best people are good at making use of their early waking hours.

Haruki Murakami woke up at four in the morning to run every day, and he continued to do so for thirty-five years. In What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, he writes about the significance of waking up early and running consistently to the writing of his novels.

Through this persistence, he also created his own learning method: the "physical strengthening method", which is widely used and has helped many people who are unable to break through to a new direction.

Peng Xiaoliu, who earns over a million dollars a year through his writing and column, started the Dream Morning Reading Club, which shares his reading and dreams with his fans every morning at 6:30 a.m. In order to do a good job of sharing, he must insist on getting up at 5:00 a.m., doing a lot of reading and summarising, and preparing the content for sharing.

When most of them are still sleeping, he has already set sail and sailed ahead, no wonder he can dominate Jane's book and has numerous fans.

Habits influence destiny, and attitude determines height. Good habits allow us to overcome the difficulties we encounter in life; the right attitude to life allows us to take fewer detours.

The famous novelist Anthony Trollope said, "Habit is something that has the power of a drop of water to penetrate a stone. A small, insignificant, everyday thing, if you stick to it, can outweigh the big, difficult things."

Getting up early is more likely to build willpower and improve self-discipline

A study on 'willpower' in the best-selling book 168 Hours showed that in the morning, people are more likely to do things that require personal discipline.

In addition, numerous scientific studies have shown that morning exercises are easier to keep up with and that waking up early improves willpower.

Why is it easier for people to do things in the morning that require personal discipline?

Today I would like to share with you the story of Sister Fang, who has been waking up early for ten years.

Sister Fang, a co-founder of a listed company with a successful love and career, has been sticking to one thing for so many years, and that is waking up early; this has developed the habit of sticking to every single thing she does well.

I joined the Sen Writing Training Group six months after Fang and got to know her because she had achieved very good results in writing, so she was invited to be the guest of honour to share.

Through the sharing, we learned .

In fact, it wasn't all smooth sailing for Fang when she started writing, and she encountered the difficulties that almost every novice writer encounters, writing articles with low readership and often having her submissions rejected.

At the beginning, the hardest part was her own heart. She always felt that she was so good, that the articles she wrote were from her own experience, and that she felt that she had written well in all aspects, so why would she be rejected?

She kept trying, but she was frustrated repeatedly, and she wondered if she wasn't cut out for writing.

But she is not one to give in easily, and what she has done best over the years is to persevere.

After being rejected several times, she chose to put her foot down, think about and summarise the methods taught in her teacher's classes and make a mind map, compare it to the articles she had written, use the methods to identify shortcomings, mark them up and plan her writing.

Fang woke up at five o'clock every day and wrote according to the material she had collected and the framework of her essay the day before. That was the time she enjoyed the most, because there was no one to disturb her and her thoughts followed the words.

Because she was used to getting up early, it was not difficult for her to stick to it.

Those who are able to persevere are often more likely to succeed; those who are used to persevere will succeed sooner or later.

After three months of deliberate practice, Fang saw her first outbreak, winning two articles in the first week and having many large numbers reprinted; soon after the small explosion of articles, Fang saw a second wave of outbreaks, and she became a contracted author for several platforms, sending them articles on a regular basis, and now she has a high upload rate, averaging 8-10 articles per month.

Fang has also opened a social account on which she shares years of workplace expertise and is loved by her many fans; she also plans to publish a book in three years' time to share her experience with more people.

She says: "I believe I will go further and further on the road of writing, because the perseverance and courage brought by years of habitual persistence are the amulets that have always blessed her on the road to success."

Fang's success could not have been achieved without years of accumulation, and what is even more valuable is that this accumulation has become part of her willpower.

She started waking up early when she was in university, and in order to learn English and take the TOEFL exam, she woke up at five in the morning to memorise words and do listening; after graduating, she has not lost the early waking habit she developed during her university days, and still gets up at 5:00 every day to read and study, and she has several baskets of reading notes.

Recently, she has been updating her articles on a daily basis, sometimes even 2-3 articles. She says that recently she always wants to write articles and often many ideas pop up while she is writing, feeling as if her soul has been enlightened.

Sister Fang said.

I am very grateful that I have been waking up early for ten years, it is one of the things I am most proud of. Waking up early has helped me to develop a good habit of perseverance and has also trained my willpower.

Victor Hugo said, "People don't lack strength, they lack willpower."

A person with willpower is more likely to achieve success.
