“The comfort zone is the greatest enemy of courage and confidence.”

Scenario 1-

Friend - Hey! There is a new opportunity for your career but you will have to move out of this place to grab it.

You - I am not comfortable leaving my hometown! It will be too much to handle at once.

Scenario 2 -

Friend - Hey! There is a new opportunity for your career but you will have you move out of this place to grab it.

You - I will take it and move forward in my life!

Well, which one are you and which one do you want to be?

Ready to move

Comfort zone can be the tiniest of things that probably you do not even pay attention to but when a situation arises that demands to give it up or change it you shiver down your nerves and that is completely normal for any human to feel. Moreover, you tend to stick to your comfort zone because you somewhere lack self-confidence and before you realize it it’s too late to change it.

Can you even count the number of opportunities you have let go of because you were too shy or just too nervous to take up that change and move out of your comfort zone? Do you regret it? Do you feel that you could have been somewhere else if you have not said no to an opportunity that came your way?

Well, do not regret it! Just prepare yourself in this way that no situation can break you down because of low self-confidence.

We understand how traumatizing it can be to leave your place or your comfort zone and do something for yourself. But hey! This is life and it demands it! There is nothing constant in life and you will have to realize it. You take up chances, you fall and you rise and this how you are YOU!

Sometimes in life, it is important to take up the opportunities that come your way but you should be fully ready and sure about it physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Please understand that it is totally and completely fine to let go of an opportunity because you were not ready at that moment and going against your will and emotional phase is not a solution we are finding here because that will not make you put your 100% to the commitment.

Know that stepping outside of your comfort zone can help you find your passion, accomplish your goals, and you can find happiness.

Without proper motivation, you cannot step outside of your comfort zone and know that by staying wrapped in a bundle of comfort you are losing three amazing gifts that life has to offer.

It is keeping you away from growth -

If you are not growing, are you even living? Life demands growth and growth comes when you experience certain situations and take up challenges that change you. You grow and mold as a person but when you are too cozy with the comfort zone you are in you are just passing off the days.

It is keeping you away from experiencing new things -

How do you know if you are good at something? Only when you try it. Trying and taking up new hobbies and opportunities can help you discover your passion and what’s better than that? You have the motivation to live and fulfill your goals!

It is making you settle with what you have -

Do you think the legend Shah Rukh Khan, can be there where he is today if he was in his comfort zone? Or did Sachin Tendulkar was born with his batting abilities? No! They practiced and came out of their comfort zone to achieve their dreams. They worked hard and did not let any opportunity slip away and did not settle with their lives and what they had at that time.

Dreaming big requires big efforts and actions and big efforts and actions require coming out of your comfort zone.

Moving towards Learning Zone

So, the question here is “How can you come out of your comfort zone?”

Well, we are scared to move out of our comfort zone and one of the most common reasons is that we fear adjustment with new people. So, it is very important and a big step towards becoming socially active and confident.

Become socially active -

Talk to people, know them, make friends, and do not fear out what they will think of you. Once you master this skill your 50% of problems will be solved. It is a human tendency to refrain from a place, situation or activity because new faces scare us the most. But once you have conquered it, you can easily adjust anywhere because you are confident that you will make good friends.

Make changes to your daily routine -

Take one step at a time, do something that you have never done before. Take upon a new experience; this will help you build confidence. Also, it is very important to learn to live on your

own. Take a walk alone, spend some time with yourself and reminisce the thoughts. This will prepare you to be ready to be alone.

Face fear –

Learn to face your fears. Start slow like speak publicly or start putting your views forward. This way you will learn to conquer your fears and once you have no one can put you down. Make sure to face one of your fears in a week.

Be positive -

Prepare a list of what good can happen and what worst can happen. This way you will be clear of your thoughts and you will know what is pulling you back. Weigh them and there you will find your answer.

Your final destination

Moreover, it is important to know that moving out of your comfort zone to seek growth is vital for your existence. Understand everyone is human and no one can hurt you or demean you. Build yourself, be ready to face fears, and take up new opportunities. Also, know when to draw a line between your mental, physical, and emotional health and new opportunities. Only take up opportunities when you are completely ready to give your 100%. Don’t force yourself into it instead grow yourself through it.
