Breaking through to a world of genius

Unleashing brilliance in everyone

In 2012 I felt called to research genius. I had this knowing that a breakthrough was imminent and that this breakthrough could refashion the world. So I asked the questions 'Can anyone access genius? Is it already built into us from birth? Is it something we have to learn and discipline ourselves to or does it just naturally occur in only the gifted few?'

Here's what I discovered....

As I began this quest in 2012, the term genius was mostly defined as 'prodigy' ... someone born with genius already in them.

[ Prodigy ... a young person with exceptional qualities or abilities. ]

I refused to believe this. The universe just doesn't work that way. So I looked further and discovered a new paradigm of genius coming into play, what I like to call Genius 3.0.

Genius 1.0: Those exceptional, unexplainable, 'born with it' few who mark the remarkable pinnacle of human achievement.

Genius 2.0: Creative people who flow genius in artistic ways ... writers, poets, artists, musicians, dancers, philosophers, futurists, etc.

Genius 3.0: Every person uniquely streaming genius ideas, innovation and imagination as a regular way of life.

The more I researched this, the more I discovered that every person has a unique kind of genius already within them. It comes to them naturally very early on in life. In most cases, because of the way our societies are structured, that genius gets stifled by the education system or by concerned parents directing their children towards what they believe fits a good life. The Genius 2.0'ers, the creative ones, they somehow manage to keep that creation in flow for themselves throughout their lives.

But Genius 3.0, well that's a whole other ballgame. It really wasn't very much in existence in 2012, so I began to work with individuals as a coach, groups as a trainer and in consciousness with others to unleash that genius in every single person throughout the world.

I discovered that most people try to keep their genius a secret, hidden from the world by either not expressing it at all or using it invisibly so as not to let others know it's there. When you get someone to unleash their genius, it's like opening up a treasure chest of brilliance that's hiding deep inside them ... and once it's unleashed, it bursts forth in spectacular genius flow.

Then I began to understand, as I interviewed various people who were expressing their unique genius in extraordinary ways, that the universe had a part to play in this.

First, that a potpourri of ideas, innovation and imagination were waiting in what I like to call 'the quantum field of possibilities' for someone to come along to pluck them from the field.

Second, by allowing their own inner genius to burst free and marrying it with the genius flow of the creative universe, something extraordinary would come into being.

Third, it's about making a profound relationship with your subject matter. It's like falling in love with it before you even begin the expression of your genius creation.

Fourth, I discovered that when you apply #1, 2 and 3, something extraordinary happens in collective co-creation. I call this collaborative genius fusion.

It's as if, by aligning with the creative force of the universe (call it what you will), that something amazing bursts forth in you, freeing your own genius to leap to brilliant new heights. I discovered this when I wrote my very first book in 1996. Well perhaps it's better said that the book wrote through me. What astounded me was that the first paragraph and the final paragraph lined up so perfectly to wrap that story in an embrace that said 'Wow, something here knows what is being written that is beyond my own knowing of what I plan to write."

It's not what some might call channelling, where you literally step out of the way and 'the flow' moves through you. It's more like a marriage of that genius flow force and your own unique inner genius that makes marvels out of whatever you're aiming to bring through.

In order to accomplish all this and literally be able to bring a book through in less than a month (I've done that multiple times now), you need to make a delicious relationship with what I'm calling 'genius flow'. Here is one way to do that....

1. Take a deep breath and allow yourself to let go of thinking about what you're going to do.

2. Think of being some place you love ... on a beach, in a forest, on a mountain top, looking at the sky, etc. Let the thrill of that feeling rush through you.

3. Take another deep breath and allow yourself to expand, as if you're getting bigger and bigger with each second that passes.

4. Now fall wildly in love with the universe in creation and with the subject matter that you're about to bring through. Feel that connection. Allow the wonder of creation to flow through you.

5. Put your fingers to the keyboard and let the words literally flow through your fingertips onto the screen in front of you.

The key you see is not to use your thinking mind. Consider your mind like a stand alone computer with the software already uploaded to it. What you want to do is plug into the 'internet' of the creative universe, the quantum field of ideas and imagination or whatever you'd like to call this portal through which brilliance flows. Along with the words comes the feeling of awe, the sense of being moved by what wants to be written through you as opposed to what you think you want to write. THIS is where genius is born and spectacular writing pours through. May your genius flow brilliantly through you in whatever wondrous ways you choose to bring it through.
