Best 7 Tips and Tricks for Gopro cameras

Tips and Tricks

I've utilized every GoPro camera system iteration for both work and leisure applications. There is truly nothing like a GoPro, but just like with any camera system, there are a few tips and tactics to keep in mind to ensure that you capture the ideal sequence you have been dreaming of. Listed below are some of my favorites.

Here are a few of my favorite GoPro Techniques:

Tip 1: Make sure to clean the surface before applying suction if putting your GoPro camera using a suction cup mount. Any grit or debris could lead to the mount failing.

Tip 2: Always tie a little cord to tether the camera to something stable when using the suction cup mount. Tie a thread to the windshield wiper arm, for instance, if your camera is mounted on the hood of a vehicle. A string shouldn't be too long, and you should test the length to check if it will reach your camera before it hits anything else.

Note: Here, measurement is quite crucial; avoid having your camera break loose from the suction mount with the mistaken belief that the string attached to it will keep it from falling to the ground and hitting something, like a tree. In my situation, this caused the casing to break. Ugg.

Tip 3: I prefer the adhesive mounts reinforced with a little duct tape or Premium Grade Gaffers Tape for mounting the camera to an ATV, motorcycle, or BMX bike (black). Contrary to duct tape, gaffers tape will not leave any adhesive residue behind after removal.

Tip 4: As soon as possible, relocate your mounting sites. Nothing is more tedious than finishing your video editing and discovering that you only have one or two solid viewpoints. Consider placing the camera in places you would never consider with a conventional camera. Some GoPro creative ideas I have used:

Telescoping the GoPro up to 10 feet while mounted on a boom pole. For filming bands and moving above the throng, this works fantastically. This method allows me to get some of my best video when covering live events. You will need the GoPro Tripod Mount if you intend to attach this to a boom pole or, for that matter, any tripod. I always bring several of these handy little things with me when I go on a shoot.

Warning: When utilizing a boom pole, keep an eye on the ceiling and ALWAYS utilize a non-conducting material, such plastic or wood. Never touch metal because you could electrocute yourself if you hit a wire or open lamp. mounting the Hero in a car or truck's wheel well. You may aim the Hero up at you or behind you by mounting it to the fork of your bicycle.

Tip 5: You should consider anything if you use the camera while jet skiing or surfing on the water. Depending on your arrangement, certain setups can sink quickly. I heartily recommend the GoPro Camera Floaty Back Door because if it slips off during a wet session, this tiny orange lifeguard will save your camera from certain destruction. Additionally, the orange color makes it quite visible.

Tip 6: You should buy the Anti Fog Inserts if you intend to use your badass GoPro in the sea or, for that matter, in the snow. Fog becomes a problem and an extremely unwelcome visitor when the temperature changes, even if you are not even aware of it. This has occurred to me twice (I only now learned about these jewels), and if it is not fixed, it WILL destroy the entire shot.

Tip 7: This month's most-read tip on this page. Avoid being caught without a Wasabi Power Battery and Charger Kit while you are filming. When filming on location, there is a straightforward rule: always bring three times as many batteries or power sources as you think you'll need. This is very significant! Even with the removable battery packs, many factors, such as temperature changes and vibration loss, drain power.

Tip 8: The GoPro Dive Housing is required if you intend to capture footage underwater (rather than just in and out of the water as with regular water shots) in order to achieve the best underwater image and video quality possible. Your images and films will be hazy without this Dive Housing, and the vignetting at the borders will make the footage useless. The Dive Housing is perfect for diving, snorkeling, and any underwater recording scenario because it is waterproof to 197'/60m.

I advise you to try this camera underwater before a session if you haven't already. It's not as simple to use as a professional rig, but it's not very difficult either. You will get underwater video that is worth every penny.
