Be A Blessing To Others

We find it easy to celebrate our own blessings. We run and tell people about our blessing, some give The Lord the credit, some say it was man that gave them the blessing. But, why is it when somebody else receives a blessing, we get so hateful? The world doesn’t owe you anything.

When other people get a blessing, you should be happy for them too. Just like you, they have waiting on their “something” to finally happen and it did. Rather than talk about them and how The Lord blessed them, be happy for them. But, truth be told, 80% of people in this world don’t know how to do that.

Primary example. If someone wins the lottery, God forbid if the person was in front of someone that bought the same ticket in the same store. “I was just in there, it shoulda been me” is the first thing some people say. Sometimes people that win will boast and brag about winning money and then they blow it while others are humble and content.

The reason that some other people are humble and content is because they finally have the money to do something that they have dreamed about. Whether its buying a better car or a new house, they are finally able to do it. In some cases, they also think about helping their family. That’s rare because some people get the money and care less about family.

Im gonna stick to the lottery blessing for a minute or so. Some people feel that too much tax is taken out on the money. I thought the same thing but I had to change my thinking and look at it this way: Its more than what the person had. Although they should feel the same way, they don’t. They feel that whatever they won, they should get to keep.

One thing that bothers me is when people go on live tv to announce that they have won any amount of money. That’s a recipe for a headache. People you don’t even know are gonna try to befriend you. Hey man/hey girl, you remember me? We went to school together and then the person creates some weird experience that never happened. When people find out that you have money, you have no peace and quiet, you will always have someone at the door and your phone will ring constantly. Good luck trying to get some sleep.

Well, time to change the subject. Blessings are something to be happy about, no matter big or small. The Lord blesses us with what we need, but on his schedule and that’s also something people don’t realize. But once they get their blessing, most forget about who gave it to them. Some people are a right now person, meaning they want things as soon as they say amen while others know things don’t operate that way. Prayer changes things and patience is a virtue. Learning both these concepts will take you a long way in life. People lack patience and that hinders your blessings.

So, we find it easy to celebrate our blessings. But why is it that when someone else is blessed, we don’t celebrate? Its because some people choose to be happy only when something good happens to them. They feel that if they aren’t getting blessed, then so what. That’s very ignorant. Being happy for myself but not someone else is one of the craziest things in the world but unfortunately is becoming the way of the world. Im happy for everyone, not just myself.

To conclude I say this, blessings happen every day and in many ways. Count your many blessings to see what the Lord has done.
