Ace entrepreneur Munyaradzi Dongo

shares his secret to Success

By Digital Geek MediaPublished 2 years ago 3 min read

Global businessman Mr. M. Dongo, CEO of BNC International, has a laser-like emphasis on expansion. He is renowned for his ability to develop successful enterprises by treating his clients like people. His company has customers from over 23 different nations. He has a remarkable talent for using his voice to inspire people to overcome their obstacles and excel in business and life in general.

But things weren't the same back then. Mr. Dongo experienced his share of ups and downs, struggles, and failures, but he also had an entrepreneurial mindset at the time. In this narrative from his childhood, Mr. Dongo offers his key to success.

When he lived with his mother during his primary school years in Harare, Zimbabwe, she would pack him a lunchbox with food, a bottle of juice or soft drink, and some pocket money to use at school. He used to have ready customers when he sold the meal during breaks at school, hehe. He would leave with an empty lunchbox and additional cash, which was great for him.

The food business proceeded, and he was confident by this point that he had a secret piggy bank in the backyard made from an empty jar of camphor body lotion. He requested his mother's assistance one summer day to get some ice for him to sell at school. When the month came to a close, she promised to attempt to get him something even though she had no money. He promptly rushed to the backyard and retrieved his money after hearing what he said. The amount of money he had so startled Mama, who believed he had stolen it. She burst out in disbelief and questioned me, "Who did he steal the money from?"

He informed her that after selling the food she had given me, he now had money to invest in my new venture. The next day, mama brought me ice with my money, and that's when I started my own business. There was a bus garage for South African buses three streets away from my home in the nearby community of Waterfalls.

There were always a lot of folks here waiting for neighborhood delivery vans. To sell my ice there, he traveled. People waited for a long time and the temperature was high, so my ice quickly ran out. He quickly returned home to gather GROW HUNGRY! 7 more, and this marked the start of a hobby that I grew to adore more and more every day. He was trying to get rid of the justification that he was too young to be independent and buy everything he wanted at any age by telling me a story about selling food and ice. He used to see my mother's young sisters spend their earnings from selling sweets on school supplies for themselves. Nothing would stop me from doing the same, he promised himself. He would relieve my mother of one of her burdens if he was successful.

"Hunger for success is something you nurture for yourself". During the time he spent in high school, this remark came true. He recalled that He didn't know how to go to town alone when he was living with his father in Beatrice full-time at our farm, but he appeared to know everything. He eventually had to take the bus into town to get a haircut. He marveled at the urban landscapes along the route as though he had never been there before. He entered those enormous, stunning structures, and after sticking to NO MORE EXCUSES FOR ME

Since then, he has picked up the phrase "feeding the dream or feeding the hunger" to characterize this process. However, this simply fueled his desire for greater things than he had previously envisioned, inspiring him to have even loftier aspirations. If you want to achieve in life, you need to be truly hungry, and you need to keep that appetite until you find a new hunger, at which point you should repeat the process. He says this because the moment you tell yourself "he's okay now," all the excuses will come out, leaving you defenseless and bringing about your demise.

The wolf you feed will grow, therefore if you want to satisfy that hunger and want, you must abandon all justifications. Making excuses can ultimately crush your aspirations!
