At the start of this pandemic John and Jane Doe, were ordinary factory workers without a care in the world. However, over night they found themselves facing hardships that were almost unimaginable. It started with the purchase of their first vehicle in over 6 months since an unexpected breakdown had left them stranded. That same vehicle was just the start of their problems when John found himself in a parking lot changing the alternator in the rain shortly after leaving the car lot. The first of many breakdowns over the next few months.

Within a month they were robbed of all the possessions in their home while police were powerless to help them. Sadly the thieves were their room mates whom they had saved from homelessness just months before. But that wasn't the end of their suffering as at that the same time Janes son was kidnapped and taken out of state by his biological father where a legal loophole forced them into using their only vehicle as collateral to pay an attorney to retrieve the child.

As if that was not enough at the start of the school year John was forced to quit his job and try to work from home to homeschool his stepson, who only a week later voluntarily moved in with his father. So John began looking for a new job online hoping to work from home. All the while Jane, whose pre-existing mental health had been worsening from the stress created by all the uncertainty in their finances. It was about that time that John had to help Jane to file for her disability as her mental health had diminished to such a degree that kept her from returning to work.

Desperate to keep Jane as stress free as possible, John returned to work. But his love and concern for her caused him to worry himself until physically ill. So he quit the job when their finances were nearly exhausted only weeks before they would completely disappear. He immediately returned to his previous attempt to start his own business that he prayed he could make successful enough to support the couple.

So all alone for the next week he worked endlessly to do the impossible in an impossible time frame. He would spend his late nights on social media trying to  build awareness in a company that had never existed. His days making improvements to the truck with plans to use it for advertisements. With medical bills from a cardiac arrest 5 years before that were denied by the Cherokee Nation stopping him from gaining financial support of any kind for his venture. Their finances completely gone, he stepped into the role of director to record and edit his first commercial and take the pictures he would post on his business page using the truck that his sweat and tears had built.

Over the next week he would gain the permits and license needed to run his business, but hit a road block when he started searching for a supplier to give him a product to sale. On the last day of the week he picked up the phone and received his first miracle from a wholesaler who after hearing his story felt the need to help. He finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel and obtained his supply of sales goods he so desperately needed.

Throughout the weekend he worked tirelessly pushing the name of his new business any way he could. He knew that it would take another miracle and hard work for his new startup to become an overnight success. Without that miracle, the married couple faced the possibility of losing everything for a second time this year.

So in one last desperate attempt for help, he called the local news to tell his story in the hopes that someone hearing it would provide the help needed to get his business off the ground. And that is where we find ourselves, at the start of his last week and last chance to keep the promise he made his wife. A promise to make impossible things happen no matter what the cost so that she would never have to suffer.
