Take a moment, look into the mirror and be completely honest here. Are you really being true to yourself or do you allow outside influencers to tell you who they think you are or who you need to be? Do you truly know yourself from the inside and out? If not, then it's time you set the stage, lay out some boundaries for yourself and stick with them always. There's no reason whatsoever to become what others want you to be. You need to live and breathe only for yourself and no one else. You also need to establish your own path and not become distracted by the outside world. The real you is the best you.

I'm going to explain to you seven reasons why it is so important to be the true you:

1. It will help you gain courage.

If you were never courageous before, finding your true identity will help you gain it and probably then some. You don’t have any when you’re following someone else because you believe in your mind that it’s easier to follow the crowd instead of being brave enough to just be yourself. If you find your inner strength and hang on to it, eventually you will find the courage you need to be yourself and no one else.

2. It will help you get focused and find true success.

When you are always yourself, you are more likely to have focus and direction in your life. If you are always constantly conforming to other people’s expectations and how they think you should live, do you believe you’re going to be focused with set boundaries for yourself? Absolutely not.

When you stay true to being you, you’re going to know what you’ll want to do as well as set the goals you want to accomplish and actually achieve them. This will help you to stay focused knowing what direction to take as you start to begin your life as the new true you.

3. It will help you find peace within yourself.

Living peacefully is so much better than chaos. When your mind, body and spirit align, you will find not only find peace in your heart but you will also connect with your inner self. And in doing so, that will bring you to a better understanding in all things especially when it comes to learning who you really are. Being yourself will help you find inner peace.

4. It will help you to live your best.

Life is so short so being yourself will help you to live your best life. The only comfortable skin you're ever going to live in is yours. The inside has to agree with the outside. Stand strong, live confidently and be your best you.

5. You won't have to no longer pretend to be someone else.

It's way more difficult finding yourself getting up every morning pretending to be something you're not than actually be who you truly are. The real way to live your life is to just be you and no one else. Being somebody else doesn't make you better. It just makes you a pretender or a copy version of someone else and that person probably isn't worth imitating anyway. Live up to your potential, find out who you are and stick with that forever.

6. You'll sleep better at night.

When you find your true identity, you're going to relax and realize that your skin is the best fit. So being the true you will help you get a better night's sleep every night for the rest of your life.

7. It will give you more of a chance to spend some time alone.

Always living and being a part of a group is not always healthy. And trying to be someone you're not is even more unhealthy. When you find your true self, you will want to actually set a little bit of time aside and spend some time alone. Do whatever you love to do. You can take a walk on the beach, you can read a good book, you can take up a passionate hobby. Whatever it is, make sure you start spending time for yourself.
