2020

It's like staring an unknown abyss right in the eyes, and never sending any light or color. Where time becomes still, and your life is a revolving loading screen waiting for a moment to press play. How did we get here? It seemed like the world was on the pathway to great exploration and then BOOM...nothing. Unemployment thriving for seven months, Covid positive in July, limitations on travel and negligence all tangled together to create this "experience". Religious leaders become more suspect and you now must turn to learning on your own instead of entrusting that their intentions are pure.

The internet, which once was a magnificent tool is now the Mecca of malicious media and powerful lies. Thus, forcing you to become a researcher of the real truth, and advocate to protect those truths without making them purely self-evident. You can't even call this a year with all that has transpired. A year has seasons, it contains holidays and events that folks look forward to, it is a time of great economic flourishing and community. However, 2020 has been the exact opposite of what a year is.

There are no seasons, just inconsistent weather patterns coupled by days meshing into each other like a marathon of Fresh-Prince with no commercial breaks. The only holiday is that you've made it another day without contracting a killer virus, and you've survived going outside and returning home without bullets in your body because of your political affiliation, skin color, or sex preference. The only events I'm looking forward to you is the liberation and vindication of my people. I'm excited for the times when my people can experience what generational wealth feels like consistently. I'm exuberant for when my people no longer become the targets of fear, when the strength of our souls are embedded in the land you are standing on while reading this.

I am ecstatic for when the burdens of my people are taught, and persons of every nation are educated. I am happy for when people finally understand that they are on this planet with a purpose that's greater than a 9-5, investments, or the pictures/videos you post for the judgement and jaded approval from other people who don't understand their own purpose. I will jump for joy when people contract the virus of wisdom, that infects the mind with peace and connectedness on such a heighten cerebral level that people to dream of visions of oneness and inclusion. In a time of physical separation, our souls have displayed the true vision of our cultures...isolation. Despite all of these previous wishes we are all flawed and there is still a mountainside we must all go up in order to see the true peak of civilization. This is not meant to highlight the negatives, but rather a poke in the ribs to focus on what matters...the positive.

Whatever your positive is, focus on it and cherish it heavily. If it's family, be the best to your family your light is more necessary in their peace than you understand. Angels are always in our corner it's our responsibility to identify them and accept them and their aid. If positivity is you working on your mental health and spirit, do that without any reservati0ns. Pay the prices of discipline and obedience so that you can live in your purpose and be fine with knowing you don't need to be in control of everything around you. Furthermore, that your value and purpose isn't established in a man or woman, nor in the approval of this world or lack thereof.

Your purpose, mind, and soul were established before the foundations of this fallen world and have faith in the promises that are working in the unseen realm of truth. In the darkest part of the tunnel, we must stay focused on the light that leads to the end. As positive a person as I am, I have my daily battles with the spirit of negativity. It's easy to blame everyone and everything, as well as just giving up and giving in. However, you and I are made to be more than conquerors so giving in/up isn't an option ever. This world, no matter how big or small your influence, NEEDS YOUR LIGHT! Covid-19 may be the human virus for illness, but Joy is our virus for love. We must build and hold true to the promised land, because we are the promised land. No longer should be go on in times of crisis as a divide, but we should be a unit of one. The purest metric that can ever be calculated or noted.
