Whether we realize it or not, each of us has our ritual when it comes to cleanliness.

There are certain steps that we take for granted, although most of the time it is not an elaborate strategy, but rather a plan created by instinct and then followed by habit.

It is difficult to change your method of cleaning, especially when you are in a hurry and do not have time for "experiments", but with a little patience and a few useful tips you will learn not only how to clean quickly, but also how to get to hate this activity a little less.

Useful tips to make cleaning faster and more efficient

1. Get organized, motivate yourself, get organized!

It may sound boring, but you need to set a cleaning day a week. You can be flexible and shift it from time to time, when necessary, but a certain degree of clutter and dirt requires a certain degree of organization and effort, and the routine in this case is life-saving. You will always know exactly what, how much, where, and why you need to do it.

Use whatever motivates you to clean and do it as soon as possible. Prepare a tasty little prize for the end, call your friends to visit shortly before you start cleaning, turn on the music, etc.

Don't raise your eyebrows so fast. The idea of "arranging" before cleaning is not as ridiculous as it sounds. "Cleaning" clothes should be comfortable, give you maximum freedom of movement and, perhaps most importantly, be durable. to small accidents.

When you are in a hurry, the last thing you want is to worry about the "outfit" being damaged.

2. Buy the right "tools" to clean quickly

Invest in a quality vacuum cleaner, in a microfiber pad that will retain dust, not scatter it around the house, in quality brushes and sponges. You will see that they will make a big difference.

3. Clean up in … cleaning products

You don't need dozens of bottles and solution boxes. All you have to do is waste your time searching through them. All you need is a universal solution for cleaning various types of surfaces (windows, mirrors, etc.), a strong degreaser, an abrasive powder, a universal solution for the bathroom, and a solution for cleaning and caring for furniture and parquet.

There will be, it is true, situations in which certain products will be needed for certain unforeseen situations or sensitive surfaces, but in 99% of cases, the 5 above will be enough.

4. Start with the dumbest area of the room

To avoid spreading dirt from one side to the other, always start with the dirtiest area of the room, such as the stove in the kitchen. After you're done with it, continue with the sink, then the kitchen counter, the cupboards - from top to bottom, and so on.

5. If you want to clean quickly, vacuum at the end

Instead of vacuuming each room as you finish cleaning, take it out once, in the end, and vacuum it all over the house.

6. Wash dishes as they get dirty, clean stains as they appear

If you do not have time to wash dishes immediately after eating, at least soak them; they will clean much faster.

Always keep a pack of universal wet wipes in the room for cleaning various surfaces and use them if you notice circles of cups on the furniture or dried milk drops on the kitchen counter. It will be much easier for you than on that "day of the week".

7. Learn to use cleaning products effectively

If you read the instructions carefully, you will see that most solutions must be left to work for a few minutes.

Apply them as soon as you start cleaning, in the meantime take care of the other chores and get back to them when they have already done their job and when all that remains to be done, most of the time, is just to rinse. With a little patience, you can save a lot of time and effort in this way.

8. Do not wash clothes on the same day as cleaning

Instead of crowding around in one day, choose to put the washing machine in one evening when you return from work, for example. It only takes a few minutes and is one of the least demanding tasks.

9. Move less and more efficiently

Instead of doing ten things at once, take them one at a time. Finish with the stove, then grab the sink, for example. The more you move, the more time you lose.

10. Small habits for big results

Here are some ingenious tips to prevent the accumulation of dirt and thus shorten the cleaning time:

  • wrap the baking trays in aluminum foil when you cook something, and at the end just remove it and throw it away;
  • always use shower gel instead of soap to avoid massive and unsightly deposits in the bathroom;
  • put plastic wrap over the shelves in the fridge, and when it has gotten dirty, just peel it off lightly and throw it away;
  • if you have a dishwasher, use it … not just for dishes. You can also put children's plastic toys or other objects that can withstand higher temperatures;
  • do not bother to clean the blender by twisting your fingers through it. Put water with dish detergent in it, turn it on for 1–2 minutes, then turn it off and rinse;
  • don't bother cleaning the coffee filter either. Just fill it with a solution of water with vinegar (in equal parts), then go through two programs only with water, to get rid of the smell of vinegar.
