Meet Wimpy

This is a photo of one of my favorite Teddy Bears. I had given several to my Granddaughter, not that she appreciated it. Collecting Teddy Bears was Grandma's thing. She had more than she needed, and now she doesn't even speak to me, because my son has poisoned her against me.

Back To Wimpy

I didn't name him Wimpy, because he was expensive looking or because he was made of fine material. I named him Wimpy because he was special.

He Reminded Me Of How I Always Felt

I always felt like Wimpy. His corduroy feet, and his necktie made of plain cloth, and his fur isn't mohair, like a lot of my Teddy Bears. I only have the Mohair bears left, and Wimpy.

Wimpy is special, his nose is just a sticking- nothing special about Wimpy, yet as I walked out of the department store, many years ago, he caught my eye.

I suppose he was made out of scraps of material, left over, with his head drooping down. He had a droopy head unattached in the usual way. I collected Teddy Bears, that is one thing my murdered son and I had in common. We both loved Teddy Bears.

I gave my Granddaughter, the rest of my Teddy Bears, I suppose they are all in the trash by now. "Before you give something away with a cloth soul, you should think about where it will end up eventually. I had a bear from the Vermont Teddy Bear factory, I called him "Vernon." I gave it to Lexi, my Granddaughter, and the last time I was allowed to go down, there it was no where in sight. I guess poor old Vernon is a part of the landfill in southern Delaware.

Not that Vernon, and the other bears, meant any less to me, but Wimpy reminded me of myself.

I was going through a department store, called Boscov's and here he sat. His head hanging droopily down, and there was nothing special about him, and that is why I loved him right up to the cashier. I paid $10 for Wimpy, my gift to myself, and he is special to me, if not to anyone else.

A New Gig

Right now, Wimpy has a new gig, he is the new face of Myasthenia Gravis. I have done a lot of research on the disease that changed my life so drastically.

Welcome Wimpy to the web, as the face of Myasthenia Gravis. Maybe, just maybe someone on these writing platforms is suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, and can gain some valuable information from Wimpy and myself. I intend to write a series of articles of information I extracted from the internet on how to live with Myasthenia Gravis and what causes it to begin with.

Wimpy and I might not be special, but that what makes us try harder. The people that had it easy in life, do not try as hard.

Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune disease that attacks the nerves that make the muscles move.

My husband almost died from this disease. It came on suddenly it seemed, and he collapsed in the emergency room, and he was put on a ventilator, where he spent the next fourteen days.

Wimpy and I are on the case, so who knows what we will find. Look into those Teddy Bear eyes, they might be glass, but they tell you a lot.

I will end this article the same say I do every article I write, except for a competition.
