What relaxes you?

Want to get away from the chaos of this stressful life? Even if it's for a little bit, because you deserve to relax and be stress-free; in any way you can.

Using your senses, sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing/listening, and memory. Which of these do you use to help ease stress and take you away from your chaotic life for awhile? One of these. more than one, or struggling in general? Maybe these suggestions will help you relax.

Oh, the stress of life! Does it ever end?!?! UUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!

Kind of like the "Circle's round it has no friend, that's how long I want to be your friend." "The Circle be unbroken.." Haha, had to put some pun humor in there.

(Imagine everyone stressed out, images of anyone or everyone that comes to mind as you read this post- even yourself too included. No one is discriminated or racism in this post, if you don't believe what is written here that is fine. Everyone is equal, your beliefs are your beliefs too. I'm not forcing on anyone or anything when I write this post.)

We can't control stress, though we can control how we thing and react to stress. All of us have gone through many levels of stress at some point in our lives. Probably will until we pass away.

There are numerous ways to relax. You have to find the one that's right for you during the situation you are in.

One way is being active:

Walking around, stretching your muscles, doing any kind of activity allowing your body to move will help with your emotional, mental, and physical part of you. No matter if you sweat or not, every little movement helps. To add enjoyment to it, listen to music that gets you going or relax you. Depending on the situation and your personal preference. Overall have fun while being active. Make time in your day or week for this. Baby steps count.

Two: Senses Situation

Using all your senses, ask yourself these questions:

(Who, what, when, where, and why's can be included in this. If wanted, also you can make up your own too.)

What am I thinking right now?

What am I tasting right now?

What flavors am I tasting? (If eating, or drinking any kind of liquid)

What/Who do I see?

What/Who do I hear?

What do I feel? (Examples: touch sensations, feelings/emotions, feelings on the skin. Hair possibly too.)

Answer these with extreme detail and make sure you are quiet when doing this relaxation/awareness technique-(I'd call it this) Making this a habit will create you to be more aware of yourself in ways you didn't realize before. Along with being more aware of your surroundings and those around you. It causes you to slow down and take time to listen to the things you normally wouldn't pay attention to when your in the race of chaotic life being on the go all the time or trying to stay busy or racing mind. It may cause you to be thankful to have the things in your life that you do have- the breath in your lungs, a body that functions in its own way, possibly a place to stay and food to eat. and if your reading this you are blessed to have technology to read things like this.

As I write my way on to the next one, let me stretch my fingers. Whether they hold a writing utensil and glide on a material it can be written on or type on a keyboard on a computer laptop- on a writing platform. Words zooming across the screen as they are typed, going on to the next suggestion.

Three: Writing

Write all your feelings out on paper, on your phone, scrap paper, laptop, anything you can get a hold of- legally and not get in trouble for writing on. No matter how long or short it is, the emotion will come across the page and release from your body. Not just your body, but your mind as well. Instead of having those emotions and thoughts contained, bottled up. They are being released with a healthy solution rather than developing an unhealthy lifestyle.

We all have unhealthy lifestyle habits that are need of changing. I admit that I have unhealthy habits too. Together we can change a little bit more every day.

Whether its relearning how to relax or finding what habit that needs to be nipped in the but next. Before that habit does anymore holding anyone back from being where they want to be in life.

Being "Squirrel" minded as I am and as life can be, here are some more suggestions.

("Squirrel" reference to "Doug" the dog from the "UP" movie. I had to put some more humor in there.)

Watching shows/clips/movies you find humorous. Everyone deserves a good laugh. Hey! What's better than laughing by yourself? Laughing with those who are dearest to you! Get together and have some good old times. Not necessarily with electronics. Though this day and age most people are hooked on them, with the kind of technology we have now. Communicate and play games. Use your imagination and create some new ones possibly. Who is to say what the limits are?.. Well, the law can tell you that one. Haha.

Not one for a wild night of fun or for being around people at points? More of needing time to yourself away from the world? Saying bye bye misery, stress, worry, etc., down the drain.. If that doesn't give you a hint maybe this will.

You adjust it to your liking, testing it before you get in.. Can you guess what I'm talking about? Before I reveal myself to you with this, I need to get you a towel ready for when you are done. There you go, now your ready. You step in the the perfect tempered liquid that is roughly hitting your skin causing the muscle to relax more and more as it falls. Moving around to get to all the sore spots of the body and head, the body and mind start relaxing more. Not just that the sinuses and airways too. (Yes, I know that those parts of the body.) Letting the water run down the body, you are so relaxed you don't want to get out. The pounding of the water on the body feels so good, you don't want it to stop. Though you are already done with your washing. Washing away all the stress and aches from the day. You are so relaxed from the shower you could fall asleep right there, but you still need to get out of the shower. So you shut of the water, and get out. Grabbing the towel on the way. Drying yourself off in the way you usually do.

You are happy to have taken the shower, it feels so good to be clean (of many things at the moment, not just the body), and it's good hygiene! Relieved you are.

Remember these are a few suggestions. Please, friends, family, and other people can help to a certain degree. It is your choice to change your unhealthy habits, we can't do that for you. You have to want and act on the change. Please, contact your doctors and/or professionals if you need any kind of help. Even if it's the smallest thing. It's okay to admit that you need help, we will be glad you did. We are all learning together. I pray you choose to make a healthy choice today.
