Life can be more challenging from time to time, as well as placing too much demand on the mind and body. When this occurs, the human system may react to this through stress which is its natural reaction to a demand or threat of all kind. It is significant to note that not all stress in dangerous. In fact, in some scenarios, it may react to stimuli and maximize output as far as it is within a person essential zone. However, if stress starts to overpower the system, it can be harmful to a person’s cognitive, physical and emotional health.

Stress can affect every part of your life, including your behavior, emotions, physical health, and thinking ability. No part of the body is safe (immune) from disease, but since people take care of stress differently, stress signals can vary. Signals may be vague and could be the same as those caused as a result of medical conditions. It is essential to narrate them with your doctor as you may experience any symptoms of stress

The following signals are found in people who are encountering the overload of stress; if one is experiencing stress, various measures must be applied to rejuvenate and de-stress the senses.

Tooth Pain

A tooth pain without any gum infection symptom or common tooth decay is probably not a stress-related arousal. You should not always complain of your chocolate cravings for the pains experienced in the jaw or gums. A lot of people suffering from stress may not concur due to the fact that they are dying from stress and try to pretend as if everything is normal. But during the hours of the night, stress will not remain in the subconscious mind – in turn, one might begin to grind his or her teeth. At night, you cannot control your body. It is therefore absolutely essential to prevent stress from your life that may result in serious and permanent sore jaw or a serious toothache

Pains and Aches

The body reacts to acute stress in the output of “flight or fight” hormones so as to prepare the body against any imminent attack or threat, causing the heart to beat faster, blood vessels to limit and restrict, as well as the digestive track to pause a little or slow down. When acute stress results in chronic stress overtime, the muscles remain tense and the stress hormones are not reversed. And as a result, an individual suffers from severe shoulder and neck pain, migraines, headaches, and also shooting pains in the back. In some people, individual stress hypertension can results in its own pains and aches while the compromised process of digestion may have its own painful consequences.

Hair Loss

It is said that stress can make one go gray and therefore can result in hair loss. Women and men encountering mental or physical stress can shed off three-quarters to one-and-a-half of their hair, most especially after or during a shower. As stress can put the follicles of the hair in a stage of rest, you may also encounter loss of hair scalp during that period of time.

Signs

In general, stress can be classified into physical stress and emotional stress.

Physical stress entails:

  • Grinding Teeth and Clenched Jaw
  • Low Energy
  • Excessive Sweating
  • Difficulty Swallowing and Dry Mouth
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Infections and Frequent colds
  • Tense Muscles, Pains, and Ache
  • Rapid Heartbeat and Chest Pain
  • Loss of Sexual ability/desire

Emotional Signs of Stress are:

  • Avoiding others
  • Quieting of Mind or having difficulty relaxing
  • Become easily moody, frustrated, and agitated
  • Low esteem (feeling bad about yourself), feeling worthless, lonely, and depressed
  • Feeling overwhelmed, need to take control, or like you are losing control

Thankfully, once you can regulate your stress levels, then it is possible to actually put an end to the loss of hair.
