Top 5 Tips To Have Whiter Teeth

Your little bad habits every day may be preventing you from having white teeth. And unfortunately, besides good dental hygiene, it is unknown if natural remedies are good for tooth enamel as a supplement. Indeed, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, or even vegetable activated charcoal do not necessarily have a good reputation. As for whitening toothpaste or commercial whitening kit, we know that they effectively whiten teeth and weaken teeth. Fortunately, to have beautiful whiter teeth, a few adjustments in your daily habits will be more than enough!

1. Stop smoking, of course

Between the nicotine and the tar that leaves yellow stains on the teeth, tobacco is not the friend of your teeth! Therefore, quitting smoking is the best way to limit yellowing permanently.

2. Eat the right foods to whiten your teeth

Some foods are great for getting whiter teeth

- Drinking a lot of water reduces the risk of cavities or dental plaque and dislodges food residues between the teeth.

-Sugar-free chewing gum promotes chewing, which results in good saliva production. However, saliva helps to naturally clean the teeth and prevent stains related to dental plaque. Besides, they often contain xylitol, which teeth re-mineralizes nd provides anti-caries and antibacterial actionaction.

-Lactic acid and calcium strengthen teeth while making them whiter. So, let's focus on dairy products (cheese, yogurt, milk)!

- Raw apples and carrots require prolonged chewing. This rubbing cleans the teeth and leaves them clean and glowing.

- In general, fibrous fruits and vegetables also have this property. This mainly concerns celery, which is excellent for whitening your smile.

3. Foods to limit to avoid stains on the teeth

Enamel is a somewhat porous material where dyes tend to get easily lodged. This is the reason why certain foods tend to stain teeth over time. While wine, coffee, and soda are popular for this, other drinks such as tea can stain teeth as well. However, note that green tea contains fluoride, which strengthens the enamel against acid attacks. It, therefore, remains quite beneficial for the teeth even if it can alter their aesthetics. Besides, blueberries, beets, and other foods with strong pigmentation can leave traces. Remember to rinse your mouth with water after consuming it.

4. Perfect oral hygiene for whiter teeth

We all know the basics of good oral hygiene. We know that you have to brush your teeth three times a day for two minutes, floss and change your toothbrush every two or three months maximum (or more often if necessary when the bristles of the brush or the head of the electric toothbrush are damaged) to promote very effective brushing on tartar and dental plaque. However, there are other essential practices. In order not to damage tooth enamel, you should always wait half an hour after a meal. This is even more important after consuming soda because the brushing-soda mixture significantly damages the teeth and promotes cavities.

5. Mouthwash with a whitening effect

In your daily mouthwashes, avoid chlorhexidine if possible. Indeed, this ingredient helps control bacterial plaque. However, regular use tends to leave dark stains on the teeth. To prevent the slightest problem and have whiter teeth, the healthiest and most natural alternative is to start with oil pulling. This involves gargling with vegetable oil for several minutes to whiten teeth, dislodge pathogenic bacteria in the mouth, eliminate bad breath, and promote good oral hygiene. Coconut, sunflower, sesame, or olive oil is often used for this. Be careful, however, not to throw coconut oil in the sink.so as not to block your pipes. Spit in the trash before enjoying your star smile and whiter teeth!

Also, remember to see a dentist every six months. We tend to book appointments when we have a toothache or gum pain. However, only he can perform scaling to restore shine to your teeth. You can also do teeth whitening at the dentist's.
