Friedrich von Schiller (1759 - 1805) You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?"

Candlestick – If you see a small candlestick, the kind you hold in your hand, it signifies an invitation to the wedding is on the way. Candy – Serious money losses lie ahead.

Canopy -- This is not a good omen. To dream of a canopy over your head is a sign of your imminent death.

Cardinal – An archbishop or a bishop in a dream is a bad omen. Strangely enough the sight of a cardinal in a dream is sign of coming wealth. If you are killing a cardinal in a dream you will have naught but a passing illness in the near future. Having some idea of how these dignitaries of the Catholic and Anglican churches dress would be a good idea.

Cat – The cat was an ancient symbol of deep meaning even in the times of the Pharoahs. Here are a few of the meanings of various cat images in dreams:

In general, the appearance of a cat in a dream is a bad omen no matter what the circumstances. Just seeing a cat in a dream is a sign that someone close to you is being false. If you see an angry cat, one hissing or clawing, it means that there will be serious disagreements or quarrelling in your home with family members. Should you see yourself eating the meat of a cat (it could happen) you have an omen of bad luck in a love affair. You will face competition for the object of your desire—and you will lose. Dreaming of beating a cat is a sign of a coming robbery in which you will catch the robber. Dreaming of killing a cat is a sign that you will kill or seriously injure the robber or an invader of your home or business. If the cat is known to you it means that the robber or invader is someone known to you. If the cat is not one you recognize it means that anything lost in the course of the robbery will be fully recovered. If you are fighting with a cat in your dream, and especially if you are bitten or scratched, it is a sign that you will suffer a serious illness in the near future.

Caterpillar – The caterpillar is the symbol of metamorphosis. Seeing one in a dream is sign that your soul is looking to change its shell, or in other words, you are tired of life and all it contains.

Cattle – If you see a herd of horned cattle in your dream it is a sign of a plentiful harvest, a well rewarded business venture or an enriched personal experience. If you are running after a herd of cattle you will suffer a personal loss or experience being forsaken. If the herd is running in your direction it is a sign of profit as a result of a fortunate discovery.

Cauliflower – Seen in a dream this can be an omen of two things. The vegetable can be a sign of coming disease. It can also mean that you will be deceived by a woman. The context here can be an important indicator in your interpretation.

Cavalcade – A negative omen similar to a carnival. If you are witnessing a cavalcade of riders of some kind marching past you it is a sign that in your waking life you are wrongfully proud of something. If you see one of the horses rider less, or one of the riders unhorsed, it means there is danger ahead.

Cave – To dream of being in a cave, especially without sign of the entrance or exit, is an omen of great personal danger in the near future.

If the dream entails you using the club to strike someone—it means that warm friendship will be manifested to you in many different ways.
