Energy drain as the days pass. Conforming into the old ways of ordinary. Bored out my mind or just cruising through, The theory of nostalgia is what helps me through. The power of silence & being alone becomes eminent. The reality of silence is placed while the doors of the world are opened. As shops & establishments open my door closes.

Eyes wide open & never shut. There’s too much too see but no time to sleep. Drained but not depleted, Gathering energy to be ready for anything but falling over to no reaction. Moments in which to be becomes faulty & a waste. What happens then? The energy builds to prepare for what’s to come; you stay awake in order not to miss anything. Nothing happens & now you’re stuck drained of prepped up readiness. The moment never arises & the drain is overworked for not.

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. When you overwork yourself to the point that your energy is reduced & your body is fighting your need to keep going. Sleep is ignored or greatly reduced. You force yourself to manifest new ideas & bring about creativity for higher growth not in just oneself but for the sake of the future.

You remain in contemplation as you fight the silence & struggle to stay awake. You begin to wonder while looking back on your past checking for discrepancies. You begin to develop self-doubt & question things, but either you’re too busy, or you have too much time with not enough resources. Struggling to keep up you make choices without further thought. Slowly descending into madness, you lose joy in little things & wonder what it takes to get over the burnout.

The symptoms of burnout can be derived throughout many factors. Some include:

• You feel less capable and motivated to work

• You’re exhausted constantly

• You start to emotionally distance yourself from others

• Your stress levels are starting to affect your physical wellbeing

• You’re starting to make poor work decision

Upon which burnout can consist of many versions which results in different ways to go about burnout. Honeymoon Phase is a type of burnout that mostly occurs during the workplace. Experiencing high levels of satisfaction, positivity, & high energy are great motivators to have upon a new position or activity that's taken place. What tends to happen is that overtime those positive emotions begin to deteriorate & you now struggle to get that feeling back.

With prioritization & stretching out your goals & activities you can continue to live out that burst of energy. With some days being more difficult than most the Onset of Stress shows signs of your motivation draining. Along with Chronic Stress, fatigue & depression can cultivate during the period of burnout. Building mental resilience & practicing self-care is an excellent recipe for overcoming burnout.

Acknowledging that you are going through burnout is the first step of dealing with it. Finding the root of the burnout helps to take measures in preventing the burnout from returning. You’re not alone in this. You can reach to others to help you recognize & overcome burnout. If both of you & the other person(s) are going through burnout, you can assist each other like a buddy system.

Introverts and burnout are much more impactful. On top of the limited energies that are taken place with social and energy inducing environments, burnout is more affected in this way, which can make it more challenging to overcome it.

It helps to separate moments when you need to be “ON” & “OFF”. You can be ready & active all the time, especially as an introvert. Schedule time for yourself or with someone close that you can destress. By relieving some energy & recenter your sense of being, you can come to an equilibrium. Rejuvenate your well being & regain that energy needed to continue with your endeavors.

Overall, it’s important to understand that burnout isn’t inherently a bad thing. Burnout is a way that your body & mental state gives off, that lets you (or others) know that you need to recharge. Being able to recognize burnout for yourself & others sooner than later helps to take early steps to overcome. Remember that you, yourself are just as important as the work (activity) you put so much effort in doing. Take the time to focus on your well being & practice self care.
