What Is Meditation?

Meditation helps in establishing a proper connection between both our external and our internal worlds. It further awakens our body and benefits of all its aspects of both the subconscious and conscious layers of our mind.

If there is something common among all of us, then it is undoubtedly the flaming urge to remain satisfied and happy in life. No matter if it’s a crying baby, a responsible family person, or an insecure teenager, every person in this universe seeks the thing that helps in providing comfort. According to Trinlay Rinpoche, an accomplished scholar and meditator, the actual source of happiness lies in the clarity of thoughts and actions.

All sorts of external factors are only pleasurable as far as we are happy from our heart. A famous quote from Gautama Buddha states that meditation helps in training the mind and not to dwell in the past or to contemplate our future. It helps the mind settle in the present and further allows us to see the actual beauty that the present holds. This particular article is just an effort for us to understand why meditation actually works so well on us and how we can actually resort to its benefits in order to become a better version of ourselves.
