The banal soup that is a true elixir of youth. Bone soup, because it is about, has a multitude of benefits, the cornerstone being related to collagen and minerals extracted from bones.

"Bone soup is known to grandparents and is beginning to be confirmed by science today. We all know from home, that when we are sick, when we have a cold or when our stomach hurts, it is a great idea to eat bone broth. ”

It seems that the gelatin that is formed after boiling the bones reduces pain and inflammation. This preparation is also perfect for pain caused by gout, muscle aches caused by fever or those caused by rheumatism and arthritis.

"Gelatin has the property to soothe, tame, soothe irritation of the intestinal mucosa, even in cases of inflammatory bowel disease.

Ladies have an additional reason to eat bone broth, because if we have protein, we have amino acids, which pass into our blood and contribute to the elasticity of the skin and not only the skin but also the joints.

Of course, the biggest benefit is that we have no side effects from eating bone broth. It is very important as a method of preparation to leave it on the fire for a long time, over low heat, with a lid, so that the water does not evaporate. If you want to extract the minerals from the bone even better, you can also add a little lemon juice to the preparation. You can make it out of chicken, you can make it out of beef, out of beef bone. If we are talking about chickens, don't forget to put the components that we do not consume - the kites, the neck, the head, because they are rich in gelatin and we can take advantage of them. And of course, all the other ingredients you normally put in the soup. ”

Sounds appetizing? Maybe it doesn't ring. But bone broth has a lot of scientifically proven benefits and I assure you it's worth reading and trying.

First of all, what is it? Bone soup is a concentrated soup made from various bones, cooked over low heat for a long time. The soup may be consumed as such or may be used in other preparations. I prefer the second option, in case anyone is wondering 🙂

Most of the benefits of bone soup are related to the gelatin and collagen obtained but also to the minerals extracted from the bones during cooking:

Gelatin formed after prolonged boiling of bones with cartilage heals and seals the small intestine and supports a healthy digestion. Why is the small intestine important? Because that's where most of the immune system is, about 80%. That is, a healthy small intestine means a healthy immune system. Bone broth is useful for permeable bowel syndrome and the accompanying autoimmune disorders.

Gelatin also helps us to have strong and healthy hair and nails.

According to Dr. Francis Pottenger and other world-class researchers, gelatin helps people with food allergies and sensitivities tolerate certain foods, especially cow's milk and gluten.

It has been shown to help with many diseases such as anemia, diabetes, ulcers, acid reflux, Crohn's disease and even cancer.

Bone broth is an important source of collagen. Collagen is the protein that has a major predominance in human tissues, ie about 30% of their total. It is part of the skin, tendons, bones, cartilage. Collagen has immunostimulatory properties and is the one that slows down the aging and damage of the skin, joints and bones. Another benefit of collagen in bone broth is related to… and here I know that for my readers it is of interest… to reduce cellulite. This is because cellulite comes from a lack of connective tissue, bone broth can reduce cellulite and make the skin look better.

With bone broth you can reduce pain and inflammation. It is perfect for pain caused by gout, muscle aches caused by fever or those caused by rheumatism and arthritis.

Minerals in bone broth are more easily absorbed by the body. The most important are calcium and magnesium,

Glycine, one of the amino acids of gelatin, improves sleep quality and memory.

To get a bone soup full of nutrients it is good to use a variety of bones, cartilage and skin. Although collagen proteins break down by boiling, more amino acids remain needed in the soup to produce collagen in the body. Regarding animals, it is desirable that they be fed as naturally as possible. Beef, lamb, poultry, fish, pork or a combination of these may be used. The soup is good to contain bones, vegetables and water. 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar are also added as it helps to extract minerals from the bones.
