Living your life - the health and wellness way.
Improving Your Health One Step at a Time
There is Always Room for Improvement Good health does not come overnight. This is especially true for those people who have accumulated many bad health habits. Any person, whether they are in good health, or out of shape, has the ability to make strides toward better health. Small steps will be better than not taking any steps at all. Keep in mind, there is always room for improvement for living a healthier life, and for fostering better health for loved ones. Healthy habits will not go out of style. Keep all goals simple and realistic when embarking on a healthier lifestyle. There is always room for improving your health and feeling fine and fit.
5 Healthy Practices You Can Start Today
Having trouble getting started on being healthy? Do you keep pushing it off until the next day, or next week? Do you not have the time or energy to work on getting fit? Tired of feeling hungry all the time? All those things are normal when you try to change up your lifestyle. Now, I'm not here to tell you that you have to lose weight, in fact, I suggest avoiding that mindset all together of wanting to lose weight and letting that be your goal. This is stuff that you can do that will just lead to having a more healthy lifestyle, not losing a bunch of weight. If your goal is to be healthier, then this is a good place to start.
Do You Want to Be Healthy? Drink Water!
I love drinking water! I wasn't always this way, but I have grown to love and appreciate the taste of water over the past six and a half—almost seven—years.
Six Weeks Until Summer
Probably most of us have this New Year's resolution list. Few things in that list most likely are something like "go to the gym," "eat more healthy," "prepare summer body." The best thing is that after you're getting in this routine (without cheating), you'll never want to go back.
Several hours of not having anything to write about will give you such a headache. Wrong. Several hours of not writing down words or thoughts will leave you with a jumbled up mess of anxiety in your mind. This statement is very true to me. This will usually result in going insane, and/or going borderline absolutely crazy. If you are like me, you may find it just as hard to do daily tasks, as it is normally when you choose to start venting to those you love, or try therapy, or just find your own way of venting. My way of venting is writing but it's hard to find the time to write when I become so depressed that I actually start to sleep in, and create some type misconception of the time that I have been allotted to live on this earth.

When Anger Rules Your Day!
Anger! It is such a difficult feeling to deal with. And right now, I am dealing with a great amount of anger. At my age in life, I began to understand some things that I either laughed about or taken very lightly. One of them is this feeling of anger. It is a very powerful emotion that has gotten me in trouble in the past. As I grew older, I found that I am also having great difficulty in keeping it in check. There have been times that I have gotten so angry that I have literally punched holes in walls, threw objects across a room and even taken myself to an isolated place just to scream at the top of my lungs. Dr. Bruce Banner has nothing on me.

I Took a Nap Everyday for a Week, and Honey, I'm Never Going Back!
As a self-proclaimed addict of self-improvement, I am always on the lookout for new studies, methods, or tools to help me reach my fullest potential (or at least just not feel like an unproductive zombie throughout the day). So when I came across an The Science of Success podcast, all about the importance of timing and the value of taking mental and physical breaks throughout the day, I was sold.
What the Holidays Taught Me About Life Structure
We all can't anticipate for our vacations or retirement. I'm sure all of us are hard workers and push ourselves every day. That's why we look forward to days of rest and relaxation. Don't get me wrong, I love vacations and relaxing like the next person. It's just that my thought process was a little different this time around.
New Year’s Resolutions for a Healthier Body and Mind
It’s the holiday season and time for us to make New Year’s resolutions and set goals for the year ahead in order to improve our health, business, relationships, and our overall well-being. Have you ever made New Year’s resolutions a bit too ambitious, just to give up somewhere around February? Now let’s skip on those crazy big bites we might struggle to chew on, like writing a book or traveling the world, and let’s talk about resolutions you can make to live a better and healthier life.
Thoughts from an Insomniac
I started suffering from insomnia around January of this year. I had a lot of personal things going on (going through a tough break up) and sleep became scarce. Unfortunately, this followed me to Florida. I love living in Florida, and my mental health has been in such a good place, but I just couldn’t seem to shake the insomnia. I’m learning to live with it pretty well, though. As long as I can find some way to keep myself occupied during a bad bout, eventually sleep finds me and I sleep for as much time as I can before I have to start my day. I’ve also gotten pretty good at functioning on little sleep and catching up whenever I can.
Calming Artistic Activities
Instead of spending endless hours watching TV, scrolling social media try a few of these calming artistic activities that will clear your mind and relax your busy brain. Sometimes it’s nice to turn off the wi-fi and enjoy the company of me, myself and I.
