Spring Clean the Body With: Papaya Seeds
The Endless Health & Contraceptive Benefits Papaya Seeds Have To Offer
Why you should eat these potent little mother f*ckers.
Papaya seeds are often just the “gross” insides we throw away to eat that delicious super fruit or meat of the actual Papaya itself. However, BOTH are highly beneficial for us.
Truth is, the seeds can easily be consumed in smoothies or crushed into alcoholic beverages and other juices. Honestly... consume them however you would like and bathe in the internal magic happening….
They are a great kidney, liver, and gut detox.
Why is this so important?
Well for starters, the liver, kidneys and gut constitute the inner workings of our whole body. See eating papayas and their seeds as detoxing the detoxifiers of your body. The kidneys, liver, and gut metabolize our foods, harsh metallics, and chemicals and of course OTC medications and other drugs and alcohol we consume. These parts of our body also, if balanced and healthy, will sustain glowing skin, healthy teeth, growing nails, and even induce losing weight if that is one of our goals. If your liver is not working properly, you will not be able to lose weight. Your liver has been metabolizing since the moment you were born and even before that through metabolizing whatever your mother was intaking. If our kidneys are not healthy they won't filter our blood properly resulting in blood disorders and also bladder infections. If your gut is unhealthy you have an 80 percent chance of getting sick as your immunity will be weak. Your gut constitutes 80 percent of your immunity. If the kidneys, liver, and gut are unhealthy and out of balance it will result in your body-mind constitution to have several diseases; physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is our only body-mind temple here on Earth and taking care of it is greatly appreciated by your body and mind for several reasons! If one is out of whack or working in overdrive, it won't be working as efficiently making other systems in your body over compensate, this can result in being overweight and even suffering from anxiety and depression. The possibilities are endless here, but to ensure your body is in balance, DETOX YOUR DETOXIFIERS!
Papaya seeds do wonders!
They can cure a plethora of ailments of the liver, kidneys, and the gut.
They can cure the liver with diseases like cirrhosis, they can also improve kidney health preventing renal failure. And right when you thought I was finished... I am not even close! They also kill intestinal worms and amoeba parasites of the gut.
The seeds contain an alkaloid called Carpaine that kills these parasites and bacterial/viral infections. These active ingredients make the gastrointestinal tract an extremely hostile place for the parasites to live and thrive.
These seeds have saved thousands of children from dying from a result of contaminated water supply. Studies have shown that in several third world countries, children have gotten rid of parasites in their gut 75 percent of the time by consuming Papaya seed's juice for seven days.
And it doesn’t end here…
Papaya seeds contain anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat arthritis and joint disease along with swelling, redness, and general pain of the body. This also goes for skin conditions that constitute similar side effects like acne, redness, blemishes, and even eczema. Papaya seeds will help clear this up and minimize systems, re-balancing imbalances.
They also aid in digestion; Papain is an active ingredient in Papaya seeds that helps to effectively break down proteins. Why is this important? Well, if you're eating and your body isn't breaking down the foods properly, protein could potentially get stored as fat, etc. These seeds ensure that your systems are working effectively.
They also arrest cancer! The seeds contain agents that stop the growth of cancer cells and tumors. They contain Isothiocyanates which work well for colon, breast, lung, leukemia, and prostate cancer.
I consume papaya seeds every second day in my smoothie. It isn't something you want to be having every single day. Moderation is better and I will share why in just a few moments.
Some more amazing benefits of Papaya seeds is that they can act as a natural contraceptive for both men and woman! This blew my mind! So avoid these seeds if you're pregnant or trying to conceive. For all the ladies out there who hate what the synthetic birth controls are doing to your body, you should look into getting you and your man on some Papaya seeds.
I say to eat them in moderation because it may lead to fertility and pregnancy issues.
This isn't a benefit I want to place an excessive amount of importance on because I can't vouch for it working; however, I will share a study that verifies that it does work effectively and is highly beneficial for the following reasons;
One of the best parts is that there are no side effects which is what many other contraceptive methods seem to have in common or just become expensive and unsatisfying. OTC birth control have several prolonged side effects and can cause even more complications for future conceiving.
A study has shown that“For centuries both men and women in the Indian Subcontinent and in parts of Southeast Asia have traditionally used the Papaya fruit and its 'seeds' as a form of of birth control.”
For men, eating 1 teaspoon every day (of seeds) for three months can greatly reduce sperm production without reducing libido; therefore, this is temporary. When the seeds are discontinued, fertility is restored.
I would still advise using a backup method if you're considering this option because it's better to play it safe. For your mental health especially.
If you already eat Papaya and you aren't already utilizing the seeds, they can have multiple purposes. The meat of the Papaya itself also has a tremendous amount of benefits that deserves a whole blog post for itself.
