Solar Eclipse reading for December 2020 (and beyond)

You don't have to be witchy or into "woo" for these messages to apply to you. When I make these readings, I am looking into the collective energy of our peoples. That said, here's the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius:

What deep patterns or shadows are disrupted by the energy of this eclipse? King of Wands

The King of Wands represents a bold, passionate leader who is a master of charm. He is courageous and confident in his masculinity and sexual prowess, takes pride in himself and all he rules over, loves his family and is great with children, and pursues what he wants in a passionate, fiery manner. An ultimate go-getter.

This card is reminding us to not be immediately swayed by such displays typical of a person/leader and to weigh out the impact of his rulership. While his qualities and traits are not necessarily undesireable, the King of Wands in this position reminds us that a balance of mind, heart and tangible earthly results also need to be considered in this equation of being a fruitful leader. A King of Wands excels at setting out intentions and starting towards the objective, but how does he carry himself outside of boastfulness or driving up his ego? Is he committed to the objective? Is he mindful and aware of the impact of his actions?

The King of Wands can be arrogant and appear overconfident, indicating the potential for a lot of intentions and creative ideas, but can come up lacking in outcome and finality. It's not difficult for him to get bored and fall short on following through to completion.

In short: there's nothing wrong or bad about being confident, seeing yourself in a good light and showing the world your drive and passion, however even a fiery King of Wands stands to benefit from integrating his emotional intelligence, practicality and ability to bring his ideas into fruition.

What actions or thoughts can support me in bringing them to light and releasing them? 10 of Pentacles

The 10 of Pentacles represents monetary security built on stable foundations, inheritance and leaving a legacy for future generations. There's more to this than the card implies as far as material wealth is concerned, which I understand we've been conditioned to uphold as a marker of signification in our lives.

Aside from the implications here of monetary wealth/security, "inheritance" can signify many other things in ones' familial legacy beyond that of wealth alone: I'm sure many of us know that all the money in the world does not automatically make a person compassionate, well-read, hard-working, or passionate. Generational wealth and value can come from a legacy of education, exploration, passing down of stories and legends, emotional maturation and intelligence, which ties closely into a legacy of raising well adjusted and well rounded humans. Any monetary wealth carries little in value and substance (aside from earthly possessions) if we do not integrate a more well-rounded and holistic approach to our lives, what good is your wealth? Again: wealth alone does not a good person make.

Note the image for the 10 of Pentacles: it's hard to miss the throngs of Pan Hu's progeny, happy and content, basking in his fortune and legacy. With this imagery it shows us that not only must we invest and put work and value into ourselves on many levels, but to model that for our future generations and to raise them with compassion, understanding and unconditional love.

What new path is revealed in this New Moon energy? Queen of Wands

Given what has been said about the aforementioned King of Wands, I see the queen being here as an expression of our need for equity among the masculine and the feminine: The patriarchal ways will be a thing of the past, and I for one hope for more integration of the masculine and feminine (or lack thereof if desired) in our futures. Pardon me, is my non-binary nature showing? In the end, we're all one species, right? Makes one understand the inherent biases that exist in our current culture against women, black and indigenous people of color, people under the LGBTQ umbrella, disabled people, marginalized and oppressed peoples in general amongst others. We can work on it, though :)

The Queen of Wands is seen as the counterpart to the King of Wands, though the title of Queen can be applied to people of any gender: after all, masculinity and femininity are merely energies we can embody. The Queen of Wands embodies many of the qualities of her counterpart, though she is seen as a doting mother who fully tends to her children's needs and is tender and loving with them.

The new path that has been revealed is one that reintegrates the feminine as a respected power, as well as that of reintegrating people of all gender expressions. Are we up for the challenge?
