Religious Rights

When someone strongly believes in something most would do whatever they can to make it happen. Many people believe so strongly towards something they don't think of what others might feel. Maybe not because they are selfish or trying to be rude but because they think it's best for everyone. We all have an opinion on practically everything, we chose our sides and we stick to it. We may not listen to what others have to say about it, but does that mean that we should make everyone else do what we think is right. We are all 325.7 million individuals not just one who thinks the same and agrees on everything, that's 325.7 million individual minds that have different ideas and beliefs. If a group of people don't believe in getting and abortion don't get one, if people don't believe in getting a tattoo dont get one, if you don't believe in being with the same genders then don't date the same gender, but don't keep others from being happy and doing what they love so we can feel better.

When people think of abortion they may think of it as taking one's life that hasn't had a chance to live and that it shouldn't happen, but have we thought of why people get one? Some get one because they were raped at a young age and are not ready for a baby. Yes they could give birth and leave the kid to be adopted, but what would happen to that kid mentally and emotionally, knowing that their parents didn't want them. If we believe abortion should be banned then that's fine just don't force others to follow by your beliefs. Barack Obama once said “Religious freedom doesn't mean you can force others to live by your own beliefs” saying that we have the freedom to express or do what we believe we should or can do, but not forcing others to because we would never do it because we think it is wrong. If abortion is against what we believe then dont get one.

When someone walks through town or when they are just out in public there's a high chance they will see someone with a tattoo maybe just one or someone with half their body covered. They may look at that person with disgust and think that they are a horrible person just because they have some ink. When we see someone with something we don't believe in we label them as some sort of sinner, no matter what that person may think many of us hate people because they don't share the same beliefs as us. We may have thought that they were part of a gang or thieves, maybe even that they would mug us. When in reality they have a tattoo because it means something to them, because that piece of art speaks to them and we want to label them as a criminal, or just a bad person in general. Others that see someone with a tattoo think why? Why would someone put something so permanent on your skin, that’s just stupid. Even though they may think it's bad and that it is a sign for a gang or that someone's a criminal we think it should be illegal, but most people with a tattoo don't get them because they are a criminal, or because they are a bad person but because they are expressing themselves. Yeah some criminals have a tattoo or more, but that doesn't mean that we should label everyone with a tattoo a bad guy. We shouldn't keep others from expressing themselves because we believe tattoos are bad.

Now everyone at some point in their lives falls in love or even has just a crush, someone that means a lot to them and they would do anything for. There's just one issue people have. Same gender couples. Many people believe that we are supposed to be with the opposite gender, but why if it doesn't make us happy? If someone loves to have chocolate why should they stop eating it if people say that that's not what we are supposed to do. That we were not put here to eat chocolate. Maybe some will, maybe some won't because they believe they should not give up something they disagree with because someone else doesn't agree with it. Same gender couples are practically just like any other couple. Being a couple doesn't mean what gender we should be with. It means that we are there to support that person and help them wherever you can. Steve Pavlina had said “One of my core beliefs is that belief is a choice that can be made on our own free will.” Saying that he respects others beliefs and what they choose to believe they can do and that what we believe is our own choice and not someone elses to choose for us.

Now many people will say that someone needs to make decisions on abortion or same gender marriage because we are taking a life or we weren't put here to marry the same gender. That is understandable, because yes someone does need to make a decision, yes abortion is taking a life. Yeah we all make mistakes sometimes and our beliefs may change because of that. But we don't need to take away the right for people to be able to choose what they think is right or wrong.

When we think about all the things we disagree with or think is wrong we shouldn't have to make others suffer because we dont think its right. If we think that getting an abortion is wrong dont get one, if we think that tattoos are bad for us or is a symbol for something bad, don't get one.If we don't think the same genders should be together don't date the same gender, but do NOT keep someone else from doing what they love or what makes them happy. We are 325.7 million individual minds, we don't need to be one. If we don't like it don't do it. If we don't believe in it don't focus on it, but don't keep someone from doing what they believe or what they like.
