My Nerdy Niche and I

Hi! Most people know me as Tarot Alaina! Alaina is my first name and well, tarot is my passion! Yes! That's right, tarot cards! I have been reading and interpreting the tarot for about six years and about one year and six months out of those six years, I have been tarot reading professionally; Sharing my intuitive insight, guidance, and advice with others. I own about 47 tarot and oracle decks alone, so I'm pretty serious about it being my passion. As for writing, I have a blog called The Witching Post that I have recently published and I feel that writing articles for my own personal blog has really guided me to love and enjoy writing. So much so that it has brought me here to Vocal.

Want to know something else that I like? Crystals!

Yes, I am one of those spiritual nerds! But hey, nerds and weirdos are the best people you could ever meet. Wink. Hint. Wink. Wink. One of the crystals that I absolutely love and resonate with very strongly is the Serpentine crystal. Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, and more are all great crystals too. However, the Serpentine crystal I truly feel resonates with my aura, my personal energy, similar to a having a totem animal if you believe in spirit guides. I do work closely with all other crystals too as a certified level 2 Reiki Practioner; I am working towards my certification for Reiki 3 Masters but everything in due time right? I'm pretty ambitious and firmly believe in self-evaluating and self-improving, so I always strive to be introspective and work hard towards my goals.

Anyway, some of you may be asking what is Reiki? Well, it is a Japanese practice of energy healing. Reiki is the life force that is in everything, so basically it is the universal energy that allows us to exist; you can call it spirit, soul, etc. I would love to talk more about Reiki in another post so as not to get too off topic here. I am really into all things spiritual, paranormal and the wispy magical stuff!

Wingardium Leviosa!

I am practitioner of Wicca but I generally like to read books on a wide range of practices from different places and cultures. It's very interesting to me the different ways of life. I love exploring many esoteric and occult paths of various different topics; Yes, I am a free spirit. A very, very free spirit, I don’t usually like to conform to rules of anything. My sun sign is Virgo, my moon, and ascendant is Pisces and it’s really interesting how accurate astrology is even though some may not agree. I think some make the mistake of thinking that astrology defines you by one sign and that is not the case, it is actually a cosmic map consisting of more than one sign of everything about you. I am a five life path in numerology and on top of the awesome stuff like tarot, oracle, and crystals; I really find herbalism and aromatherapy to be really intriguing too. So, therefore, I’m kind of a health nut with vitamins, tea, and an awesome vegan diet. I sometimes make herbal tinctures and my own loose leaf teas combing different plants and herbs. Some teas being medicinal, calming, or just enjoyable to the last drop.

Honestly, it is really hard to narrow any of this down to my absolute favorites. It is pretty much impossible for me because all of this is so enthralling! Therefore, I enjoy connecting with other like-minded individuals, picking brains, and floating in the cosmic sea of knowledge and consciousness so I really hope to connect with other writers here on Vocal!
