Reading for 1-27 thru 2-2-20

The Center card this week is the Knight of Swords.

I see the Knights of the Tarot as leaders and way-finders. They stride forward to clear a path for those who follow. They’re confident, sure footed and fully aware of the prospects, pitfalls and possibilities of the suit they represent. As the suit of Swords relates to air, we find the focus of the week centering around our thinking and the ways in which we communicate with others. The electrical fluidity of our brain power is running high and ideas and thoughts flow easily. Perhaps too easily for those folks who tend to get confused or caught up in details, but if we’re able to accept and grasp the confidence of this smart and practical Knight we may find that the tangles of detail are easily combed through. As our thoughts and plans solidify we find ourselves in need of clear and understandable ways to communicate what’s important to us and why. This clarity can pop up in relationships, at work, in meditation and even dreams so it looks like we’ll have the chance to express ourselves clearly in whatever situations we face.

The West card is the Ace of Wands.

Having gone through the 10 of Swords energy of last week, we’ve likely gotten a good look at the ways we can get ourselves stuck in our left-brain need to dissect and juxtapose ideas and feelings. We can spend a whole lot of time splitting them down into their tiniest fractions, pulling them apart and trapping ourselves in the mundane details that crowd the mind and eclipse the heart, blurring what we were trying to clarify in the first place. The good news is that in the thrash and push to get clear of all the mind chatter and past obligation, new sparks of desire and direction come up to help us burn away the bits of silliness, inconsistency or just simply the jetsam of old beliefs that keep us stuck in old patterns. The Aces show us the energy of their suit in its purest form. This week look to the curiosity and creativity of that spark of fire in the Ace to assist the Knight in laying a new path. The Ace is the first step.

The East card is the Aeon

This is one of the cards in the Thoth deck that looks different from the Rider, Waite, Smith decks. It’s still about Judgement and relearning or recognizing that our lives are renewed in every moment. The invitation appears in the Aeon to forgive and release moment to moment to moment, until that forgiveness becomes who you are rather than what you think you should be or the way you think others should see you. As we live that forgiveness in the Now there’s a necessity to let go of the ways in which we hold ourselves to concepts and ideas that have, themselves, passed away. By the end of the week we’re asked to look at the concept of fluid and continuing renewal. Every single moment that our minds can perceive has passed in the moment that we conceive it. When we can let the old fears, disappointments, wrongs and abandonment go, we are reborn, moment by moment by moment.

In conclusion;

This week our minds find a clarity that’s been lacking. Clouded by obligation, self doubt, the need to perform to the standards of others or a fear of change, whatever the reasons, now we have a chance to see clearly how important our own truth is, and to speak it in a way that becomes obvious and relevant to those who’ve either not been listening, not been open or just haven’t wanted to hear what we have to say. In the mind-space of living in this moment, all is new. And if all is new, there is no past and, therefore, no need for worry about recrimination. Take a bit of time to flip this around as well. If you’re holding on to jealousy, hurt feelings, or a need or desire for “revenge”, understand that as long as you cling to the anger, fear or disappointments of the past, you will be angry, fearful and disappointed. With the Knight at the center of all this, the realization of who we are in the Moment is met with confidence and the wisdom of experience. Accept it, embrace it and carry your standard forward with honor.

Have an honest and compassionate week.

Light, Tory

TIP for the week: If anyone tells you your dreams are silly, remember there’s some millionaire walking around who invented Doggles.
