Mirror Dragon Tarot Part 14

The Center card this week is the Aeon

This card is one in the Thoth deck that differs quite a bit from the more popular Ryder Waite Smith system. Though it is similar in definition to the RWS card Judgement the symbolism steps away from the Christian paradigm and includes older symbolism which recognizes continuing multiple lifetimes. I see the Aeon card as a prompt to nudge our left-brain, cognitive mind to recognize the decisions and choices we make as they grow, and allow our experience to be born anew in any given moment. This pushes us to renew our intent on a continuing basis and, in this way, opens avenues for change we may not have noticed without the renewed interest. As the Death card reflects the cycle of rebirth from old to new and back again, I see the Aeon as a card of new birth. It highlights the constant changes we encounter as we move along the path of human, physical existence. As humans, we’re never static, there is constant movement, and the Aeon triggers us to see those changes as new birth and to take the action needed to accept the lessons we’ve been offered.

The West card is the 3 of Wands

Over the past few weeks we’ve been dealing with Mercury retrograde and the disturbances and tripping points that its apparent reverse movement triggers. Mechanical issues, missed or garbled communications and that foggy feeling when you know you’re missing something but you have no idea what it is... The good news is, Mercury stationed direct on Wednesday the 22nd. The outcome of this confusing time is often a time of sweeping up the mess, picking up the pieces and reassessing where we stand. The even better news this week is that the 3 of Wands in the West shows us that through all the zigs and zags we’ve navigated we’ve also unearthed, embraced and maintained our integrity. We may have had to wade through emotional or intellectual muck to come to some conclusions but through it all, honor and integrity has remained intact and important. Strained, maybe, pushed, pulled and reshaped, but intact. This stance of honor is a very good mindset to have as we make decisions about what to do going forward.

The East card is the 6 of Swords

In my view, we couldn’t have asked for a better card here. As you look at the image on the card you can see many interconnected and divergent lines which represent neural pathways interacting at high speed and in myriad directions. Ideas come fast and furious and plans run smoothly as our consciousness and intellect are clear and energized. This can be great, especially as we enter the busy travel and party planning season. The caveat here is that it can also be easy to slip into a web of confusion as the ideas fly. Now is a good time to brainstorm at home, at work, at play or within Self, absolutely. Try to be aware also of the tendency to become entangled in a web of mental distractions and lose the deeper reasons for the ideas to begin with. Delegate, make notes and plan well, but leave time for yourselves to enjoy the outcome of your plans.

In Conclusion;

I saw a meme this week that said “Mercury isn’t retrograde anymore! Yay! Now it’s all our own fault again.” I chuckled but it’s true. Now that the muddled energy of glitches and miscommunications has cleared we can take responsibility and credit for our actions and choices. Under the influence of the 3 of Wands, our honor shines and the desire to stay in a position of integrity is strong. With the Aeon as the central focus for the week, we are continually reminded that growth and change are inevitable, so it’s a good time to take initiative. Rework your strategies, rethink your goals and open new windows of perception. Embrace possibility. Our intellect is now very clear and with that our creative desires are given clarity and structure. How perfect is that as we head into this busy time of year? For all who are in the US and celebrate Thanksgiving, may the glow of grateful thanks surround you and yours this week, and for everyone, I’m eternally grateful for your energy and affirmation.
