The Center card this week is Art

With this Major Arcana card at the center for the week our clearest and deepest focus is about how to pull all aspects of a given situation together so that the separate parts form greater and more cohesive whole. Although it may at first seem unlikely, even impossible, to bring dis-similar energies into alignment this is exactly what the influence of Art encourages and guides us to do. We spent last week concentrating on our Earthy (Pentacles) resources and material concerns using the air-based (Swords) facets of our cognitive thought processes. Perhaps the bits and pieces in the watery (Cups) emotional parts of our lives have taken a back seat. The energy of Art allows us to see the disparate threads of our tangled emotions and how they can be woven together to give a broader, more compassionate completion to our resource based gains plus a safer, more reasonable environment to address our touchier interactions.

The West card is the 7 of Cups

This card shows us where our emotions got tangled and, whatever the cause, we were probably grateful for a work/ material focus to engage in so we could step away from the emotional interactions we weren’t ready to face. As much as we may have hoped that those emotional issues would magically sort themselves out while we were busy being productive it’s unlikely that they did. Now that the business and physical bits have been sorted out we’re ushered back to looking at the emotional aspects that still need attention. The good news is that as mucky and mired as emotional concepts and misconceptions can be, Art provides a clear and creative perspective which allows us to consider new and different ways to untangle the sticky parts of how the heart sees things. I’m sure we all know the heart often does not heed the brain when it comes to big feelings but this week should be the exception to that idea. Let your brain work out the compromise and capitulation needed to bring emotional equilibrium back to center.

The East card is the Knight of Cups

The knights of the Tarot are wise. They’ve been there, done that and come away with the wisdom of experience. This knight has found the depth and fortitude to detach the un-reasonable part of emotion just far enough to inject a bit of logic where it’s needed. His wisdom becomes the lean-to against which the storm rages while we shelter and come to workable conclusions. One of the differences between this Knight and the others is that his wise actions are heart based and his strength comes from understanding. Under his influence our ability to come to heart centered compromise and balanced agreement are at the fore. Our caring, thoughtful proposals can become both our olive branch and our heart’s strength.

In conclusion:

We find ourselves this week in a position of strength, as a result of the material and physical successes of last week. We feel more confident and better equipped, now that the busy work of home and finances have settled down, to face the stickier situations we’ve been not-facing. This should be a week of realizations, not only of what to do about difficult emotional conflicts but ways in which our inner strength brings us to a deeper understanding. We can see (without judging ourselves) where we might have gone wrong and how to broaden our perspective to find conclusions, comparisons and harmony. We adopt a generally kinder and more accepting view of Self and others that engenders alignment and agreement.

Have a harmonious week.

Light,

Tory
