How to Lose That Winter Weight

Oh no! Summer is here! But so is that winter chubby!

Well, that time of the year has come again where beaches and warm weather are happening. There is a problem, and that problem could be that you still have that winter weight hanging around and you want to get rid of it. However, if you want to do exercise without realizing it, then here are a few things you can do:

1. Eat less. This is one of the toughest things that you can do. However, instead of grabbing two scoops of rice or mashed potatoes, just eat the one. Grab less on your plate when you make dinner, then you can have leftovers for the next day.

2. Just dance! Wii game is very helpful. Just Dance is a great way to have fun while doing aerobics, and you do not realize how many calories you have burned. If you do not have a wii though, you can always go on youtube and look up those just dance videos, and there you go!

3. Go outside and go for a walk. You can go for a walk to get ice cream, so than that way you reward yourself for going outside and going on that long walk. It will only be worth it if your walk is long.

4. Start going on easy to do hikes. Around the city there may be easy hikes to do, and if not, you can drive a bit out and go for a hike there. Not all hikes are uphill and hard.

5. Have a workout buddy! This can be your best friend or your boyfriend or girlfriend. They can keep you motivated and get you to work harder, and it will be more fun than by yourself.

6. Geocaching is also a fun way to lose that weight, because if you walk everywhere and find the things, then you will lose weight as well.

7. Swimming is a great way to lose weight. I am not talking about doing laps in a pool. Take your friends and plan a pool date and throw a ball around or play a game of "take away" where you have an item and you try to take away that item from the other person, but do not be violent.

8. Get someone to throw a ball around with you, go to the park and play catch, or go to a tennis court and play some tennis. This will get you moving and going.

9. Do anything that makes you sweat. It could be yard work or something else. If you sweat, you lose weight, so get your garden gloves on and start doing that garden. Instead of grabbing a stool, squat down to get rid of those chubby thighs.

10. I bet you have a workout machine in your basement that only your husband or boyfriend uses. Get on that thing, put your favourite television show on, and get going. You can work out in bursts. Watch an episode and move to the next.

11. Instead of that bowl of ice cream, get a bowl of fruit. Fruits are still sweet and yummy. This way you can still eat your sugar, but it is much more healthy than eating a bowl of that chocolate ice cream.

12. Biking! Biking is fun and rewarding when you wanna go somewhere quickly, but do not feel like doing that effort of walking.

13. Have restless kids? Play hide and go seek tag with them, or have a water gun fight!

14. Engage in a dance class. Sometimes dance classes have a free trial class. You should go to one and try it out!

15. Barre. Barre classes now seem to be the trend. You should try it out for fun and see how you like it. Although, from what I hear, it can be quite challenging. So this is more if you want to feel the burn of your calories.

16. Blast that music and dance around like a crazy person.

17. Clean up! Everyone hates the chores, but guess what? This is probably the best lazy way to workout. Clean out those drawers, those wardrobes and closets, and scrub down the walls.

18. Instead of sitting in front of the television, you can do squats or run in the spot or do different workout routines.

19. Take a walk around the neighbourhood and look at the houses around and discover new routes to take.
