Denture soaking solutions may contain harmful chemicals that could cause vomiting, pain, and burns if swallowed. Therefore you should clean them thoroughly before placing them in your mouth.

Your dentists will recommend how often you should visit them for denture checkups and professionally cleaned. They will help you to make sure a proper fit to prevent slippage and discomfort. They will also examine the inside of your mouth to ensure that it’s healthy.

If you have a loose fit, go to the dentist

You should visit your dentist regularly if your dentures become loose. Loose dentures may irritate you and can also cause sores and infection.

Things you should avoid

You should avoid abrasive cleaning materials such as stiff-bristled brushes, severe cleansers, and harsh toothpaste. These materials can damage your dentures.

Try to avoid whitening kinds of toothpaste as much as possible. These tubes of toothpaste contain peroxide and do little to change the color of denture teeth.

Using bleaching products can be harmful as it contains chlorine. These bleaching products can weaken your denture and change the color of it.

Lastly, you should altogether avoid hot or boiling water. It can warp your dentures.
