Free Weekly Reading #40 Mirror Dragon Tarot

In looking back to last week’s reading with the free flying energy of the 8 of Wands tempered and utilized by the Ace and Princess of Pentacles it looks like we’ve been largely successful in focusing the Wands’ fiery creative energy to jump start our resources and get them flowing.

The Center card this week is The Universe.

In the Tarot the Major Arcana act as a map or guide through the lessons and opportunities that are available to us as we journey through our human adventure. We begin with the Fool who’s number is 0, pass through the many steps of Human-Spirit integration and arrive at the Universe to complete the path at 21. From pure possibility with no form to pure completion with every possibility given form and reality. With this beautifully vast and life affirming card as our center focus for the week we’re asked to look beyond our immediate challenges and concerns. To look to the future, the big picture. When we can lift our eyes up out of the weeds of busy work, duelling personalities and copious, seemingly insignificant details our vision clears allowing us to see the goals that inspired us into choosing the directions we have and the whys and wherefores that drove us to those choices. I think a good mantra for the week would be “keep your eyes on the prize”.

The West card is the 9 of Pentacles.

This card, more than any other, shows up when our physical efforts are being realized. Things have started falling into place, taking hold and pulling desired responses into play. Health issues begin to move towards resolution, work projects spark new determination with solid results and communications begin to elicit the understanding and acknowledgement they deserve. All these things come into workable form and to the degree that those forms require attention and management this is a very busy time. The Universe card reminds us to keep our focus forward with desired outcomes at the forefront of our attention. Frequent reminders-to-self to let finalized details handle themselves, allow friends, coworkers and family to, not only have their say, but to carry their own load and trust in the process you’ve chosen to work will be an important asset to maintain balance (sanity) in the daily progression for the week.

The East card is the Knight of Wands.

Yay! I’m really glad to see this reminder of our powerful creativity as a result of all the work we’ve done. As we saw last week, the Wands are representative of fire. The fire of our inner creativity, curiosity and intrepid desires urge us to step beyond routine and find new experiences. Whether it’s a tiny change like reworking the way you load the dishwasher or a new route to drive to work or as profound as changing career paths, starting a new relationship or going vegan, the expansive desire for exploration gives our whole outlook a boost and a spark of excitement. Because this is the Knight of the suit, he represents his suit in its most varied, intricate and well integrated form. I see the Knights as the way-makers and the pathfinders. They’ve been through every stage; learning, experimenting, nurturing and teaching to arrive at the position of Master. Able to continually expand and improve on their collected wisdom, they’re the ones who take the steps to grow the suit’s energy towards unification with the other elements and the Oneness of the Universe.

In conclusion;

This is a week of determined growth, accepted truth and concrete results. Not all of them will be happy-happy, joy-joy. Some will be intense and some may even be devastating. However, we’re getting what we’ve wished for this week and the care with which we made the original wishes will be recognizable. Keep in mind that what’s happening now relates directly to a much larger scenario than the details involved, so the ability to keep our focus on long term goals will give us the determination and hope to handle whatever obstacles we may face.
