Feel Empowered

Fitness is not just a hobby or passion. Fitness has many benefits. Education is vital in order for people to take care of their health.

Every day new things are being invented in order to make our lives "easier," in reality, most of these inventions allow us to live sedentary lives, causing us to become obese and develop sicknesses.

When it comes to nutrition, the foods in our communities don't help much, nor does our pricing systems for foods, you find that healthy foods costs more while unhealthy foods are cheaper and easier to access. People do not have enough information on nutrition, therefore, they do not know what their bodies require in order to have enough energy and to keep their bodies healthy.

Fast foods are diminishing to our health. Eating healthy is very simple and the foods can be extremely delicious if prepared correctly.

You don't have to become a fitness freak, or a bodybuilder or powerlifter but you do need to remain active. There are many ways to be active and it starts with avoiding usage of things like escalators or elevators or cutting out sodas and limiting the amount of times you consume fast foods.

Adults require 30 mins of daily cardio. If you are constantly busy it can be done in 3 sets of 10 minutes. Exercise has so many benefits, it improves your mood, increases your energy levels, regulates your hormones, builds your confidence and makes you feel empowered. It has a positive effect on your brain functioning and nervous system.

Joining the gym or fitness groups builds friendships and makes you feel like you are part of something more, it improves your confidence and can help with depression which is something a lot of people suffer from.

Levels of obesity are skyrocketing, due to the availing of unhealthy foods and the lack of exercise. Obese individuals are body shamed and lack confidence. Many of them are suffering from type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. There does not exist enough information on how to prevent obesity and get within the normal BMI range. Individuals opt for expensive weight loss pills and supplements, hoping they are some type of magic, instead of doing research and correcting their nutrition as well as activity.

The question remains how does one change their lifestyle?

It's simple to start with research. There are a variety of sources such as the internet, YouTube, social media, and let's not forget books. Once your research is completed and you are familiar with the wellness industry, set a goal that fits your lifestyle. Once you have set your goals, carry out some more research, your research should be detailed and aimed at gathering more information for your goals and how to achieve it. Next, you will determine which tools you are going to use to measure your progress. This will require a little research as there are various methods based on your goals. Determine your starting point. Understand that it is about creating a healthy lifestyle meaning creating healthy habits and not just quick fixes.

Remember that chances are you won't succeed on your first attempt, but that does not mean you should give up on your goals. It's never all sunshine and rainbows. It's going to be a rocky road, you going to constantly have those moments where you question the reason for doing it. There will be moments where it's easier to just stay down because you don't realise how far you have come.

People will ask why are you doing it. They might not notice the small changes but you will. They might not compliment you or they might straight up be jealous of your progress and try and get you to stop but those are the times where you need to remain strong. Revisit your goals, take a step back, and three forward.

Your environment plays a vital role in your success. Surround yourself with friends that are driven, that will motivate you and will be by your side. Cut all the toxic people out, the ones that do not want to see you succeed. The one who mocks you for trying and tells you to rather give up because it's not worth it. It all starts with your mindset and your environment.

CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE TODAY, IT ALL STARTS WITH A BIT OF RESEARCH!

LET'S GET HEALTHY.
