March Weigh In

I began working at the beginning of March, and this part of the challenge story reflects the difficulties I have had trying to balance my new job (Home Care for Maine, doing in home care for the elderly), and exercise. Later in the story I find my balance, with the help of my job scheduler. Anyway, here is the next portion of the daily challenge:

Day 71 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed nine flights of stairs and got in 2,221 steps. I missed Aqua Aerobics due to work. I really need to figure out a way to get my swim in during the week, now that I am working again.

Day 72 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today was another very low impact day, due to this cold bug that I have. I did manage to get 1,173 steps, but did not do much more than walk around. Hopefully I can get over this crud soon so I can get back to working out in earnest!

Day 73 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed two flights of stairs and took 3,323 steps.

Day 74 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

I did three reps of 10 pelvic tilts, and walked about 1600 steps.

Day 75 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Since it is Sunday, I took the day off from exercise, and just did light house cleaning and walking around the house. I put in maybe 650 steps total.

Day 76 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

I did two reps of 10 squats, walked in place for four minutes, got in two flights of stairs, and got about 1500 steps in.

Day 77 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed one flight of stairs and got in 2,580 steps.

Finding my rhythm working and working out is proving difficult for me. I will get there, I am too stubborn and persistent not to, but having the weather warm up will definitely help, as I can get walks taken in between working with consumers.

Day 78 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

It was another low impact day but I got in 1,865 steps and four flights of stairs.

Day 79 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

I am starting to feel lazy because I am not getting an aerobics in. All I did today was two flights of stairs and take 1,561 steps. I have felt blah this week, and it is time to kick my own butt, get in gear, and buckle down!

Day 80 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed seven flights of stairs and took 1,958 steps.

Day 81 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today, being Sunday, was a day off from exercising. And it's a good thing because my watch (step tracker) was in need of charging. I did some walking around the house, but otherwise no other exercise today.

Day 82 of 365 Days of Exercise:

Today I got in 1,814 steps and only one flight of stairs.

Day 83 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I got off my butt and went for a 15 minute walk outside. All in all, I got in 3,041 steps today, more than I have done in the last two weeks!

Day 84 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I did five pelvic tilts, five pelvic thrusts and took 1,616 steps.

Day 85 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed two flights of stairs, took 2,649 steps, and attended swim class, which lasts for an hour.

Day 86 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I did some light lifting (took a consumer grocery shopping), and walked a total of 2,894 steps.

Day 87 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed four flights of stairs, and got in 3,331 steps.

Day 88 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Normally I take Sunday off from exercising, but today I decided to do some cleaning so I danced while I cleaned. I danced to five songs total, climbed two flights of stairs, and took 1,725 steps.

Day 89 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I didn't do much in the way of exercise as my back was a bit sore and I had to do some cleaning at work. I did, however, get 2,153 steps in.

Day 90 of 365 Days of Exercise Challenge:

Today I climbed two flights of stairs, got in 2,931 steps, an hour of aqua aerobics, and five pull ups on the diving platform.

It really is fantastic being back at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Aqua Aerobics! I get a great workout in and I get some socializing in at the same time, both things I desperately need for the well being of my mental health. I hope this class is something you all think about joining if it is available at your local YMCA!
