Discovering a New Recipe and Falling in Love with My New Blender

Blending up Good Health with "The Viridis Machina" Smoothie Recipe

I wanted to write this article in honor of Don Christopher, the founder of Christopher Ranch and co-founder of the Gilroy Garlic Festival, who recently passed away. Christopher was a pioneer in the garlic industry and his legacy lives on through the many delicious recipes that feature garlic as a key ingredient. If you ever wanted to learn more about Don or his contributions to society, then please visit the Christopher Ranch website at https://christopherranch.com/

As a food lover, I am always on the lookout for new recipes to try in the kitchen. Recently, I purchased a new and much improved blender and accidentally stumbled upon a recipe that has completely won me over and has reignited my passion for blending.

The recipe in question is for a smoothie I call "The Viridis Machina." You may be thinking that this is just a unique name for a smoothie, but let me assure you that it is so much more. "The Viridis Machina," in its base form for one person, is made by mixing 1 frozen banana, a handful of kale, your preferred type of milk, and one clove of raw garlic. Yes, that's right - one clove of raw garlic. The garlic is added for its remarkable health benefits, which include the potential to improve cardiovascular health by reducing blood pressure and improving cholesterol numbers. For reference, in this smoothie, the smell of garlic on one's breath and the burn sensation on the taste buds are neutralized in the blend.

I was immediately drawn to this recipe because it combines two important things: a sweet and creamy taste and a wealth of beneficial nutrients. As someone who is always looking for ways to maintain good health, this recipe is a major selling point for me. In addition to the benefits of garlic, kale is often referred to as a superfood because of its high levels of vitamins and minerals.

This smoothie not only satisfies a significant portion of the recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables in just one serving, but it's also filling. I've found that one glass of this smoothie keeps me feeling full for several hours, helping me to eat less. This makes it a convenient and healthy choice for busy people who might otherwise skip their recommended servings of fruits and vegetables and opt for snacking instead.

Since trying this recipe, I have become even more passionate about blending and am constantly on the lookout for new and innovative recipes. I think the next time I make this smoothie, I may add in some frozen blueberries for their additional antioxidant properties.

In conclusion, discovering the "The Viridis Machina'' recipe has been a game-changer for me and has reignited my love for blending. If you're looking for a new recipe to try or just want to shake up your blending routine, I highly recommend giving "The Viridis Machina" a try. You may just discover a passion for blending like I did. If you're in the market for a highly rated blender, then I recommend taking a look at the "Ninja" that I have here: https://amzn.to/3VYwUkN

Bonus:

Another blending recipe that I'm an extremely big fan of has ingredients that include bananas, blueberries, raw garlic, peanut butter and your preferred choice of milk. The texture of this smoothie is extremely thick - kind of like ice cream. The taste is extremely sweet depending on how many bananas and blueberries that you add to the concoction. Nonetheless, this is a smoothie that can provide you with a lot of nutrients as well and it is worth trying out if you haven't already.
