The little things i have discovered

I am a massive book worm! I am obsessed with books, i think it is obvious to say that any other human being or spiritual entity who loves a good read, is obsessed with books. I have a nasty habit of searching for more books to add to my library, when i should re-read what currently is in my collection.

I am on the journey of self-love and discovery, and i am so appreciative of my loved ones helping me along the way. My best friend Cloe, purchased this book for me called "The little book of Self-Care for Capricorn." I will add a picture above, as it is super cute to look at also. I found this to be such a touching gift to help me along my journey. (Link is below on where to buy yours!)

I am a huge believer in star signs and astrology and everything to do with those sorts of beliefs. To answer your question, yes i am a lover of crystals and i am a massive spiritual being and show this on the outside and within everything i do. It is so much fun to me personally, and i love the vibe and energy i receive from these practices. Same day that Cloe bought me the book, she also purchased a tarot card pack, for beginners of course because we have absolutely no idea of how to begin this practice of spiritual enlightenment, but also because this is just harmless fun also. We both really enjoyed giving each other our "fortune telling" and you can interpret the cards in any way that you like.

I am going to add a few self-care tips for the fellow Capricorns who may read this post, as they are super helpful and personally so nice to acknowledge and take on board to a better you. You do not have to be a Capricorn to take on board these tips, i think they are great overall for anyone but especially fellow earth signs. (Taurus and Virgo).

Tip 1: Know what Self-care is! Self care is any activity that you do to take care of yourself. It is the practices, rituals, and meaningful activities that you do, just for you. These activities are amazingly unique and personalised to who you are. There are 6 self-care categories that your activities can fall under. Physical Self-care, Emotional Self-care, Social Self-care, Mental Self-care. Spiritual Self-care & Practical Self-care. When you practice all of these unique types of self-care practices and make them a priority, you are actively working towards yourself that the universe intends you to be.

Tip 2: Start a Self-care Routine. This should be a ritual in your life that you value as important and something that you pause for no matter what! You are important and you deserve it. An example of a ritual of self-care that i currently do is my bed time routine. I'll lay it out for you. My first step is always creating my sleep space, i have my diffuser going with some essential oils, preferably a sleep assist oil if i can get my hand on it. My google mini or phone playing my sleep sounds, which always change! This current sound i'm enjoying is lake sounds. I have my blinds covered by my tapestry so no light can peek through even though i enjoy the night light my diffuser has which is always purple or green as i personally like those colours to sleep to. Then i am in my Pyjama's, just for comfort and i make myself a tea. Now this was something i struggled with, only because i thought chamomile tea was great for sleep, but apparently my body rebelled against that. After trying a few others, for me it is French earl grey. Now this is something i 99% of the time have before bed and it works! It makes me so sleepy and i love it! Finally i climb in with my book of choice and read a little while sipping tea and the dose off once i have finished my tea. This routine every night has honestly made sleep that much more enjoyable. So find your routine and love it.

Tip 3: Plan a family dinner! Now this is a ritual specifically for Capricorn in the book, but it is not limited to just us goats! I love family, and for those who might not, then chose your chosen family such as your close friends and have a routine of Tuesday night Family night, make some fabulous dinner, which all can contribute to and then do something fun afterwards! For my family and i, that always without fail, is a good old fashioned board game. This ritual is all about taking time and reconnecting with your loved ones and letting them know how important they are to you. Capricorns will feel rewarded and comforted by the togetherness and will enjoy the fun or arguing if you are something like my European family.

Lastly, enjoy yourself this week, you are you and don't let the world bring you down. After all you are part of this universe and you can make the most of it, one step and a time, one breath at a time.
